UK BORDER AGENCY PRACTITIONERS GROUP

REMIT:

To consider and share best practice on all matters concerning UK Borders Agency regulations, including compliance visits, recording and monitoring of student interactions and adhering to legislative requirements.

To examine the relevant quality and standards issues associated with UK Borders Agency regulations and how best to provide briefings and support to students and colleagues.

On behalf of ARC, provide a focal point for discussions of national issues concerning UK Borders Agency regulations.

The Group interacts with Universities UK and the UK Borders Agency to establish appropriate standards with regards to Tier 4 visa regulations.

PURPOSE:

The Group seeks to clarify UK Borders Agency Tier 4 visa guidance and identify ways to raise the profile, and highlight the importance, of UK Borders Agency requirements and improve understanding among colleagues of the demands and complexities of UK Borders Agency legislation.

The Group is working on communicating examples of good practice throughout the sector and on developing a consistent approach to UK Borders Agency regulations.
