THE RANGE OF COMICAL PHRASES TO APPEAR ON THE CARDSTHE NORTHERN ROMANCE LOGO

OUR CONCEPT:To design a range of bloody fantastic, type based greetings cards that celebrate the country’s romantic relationships with a sense of Northern English humour. The cards are designed for students and young professionals, both male and female who want a card for their loved one, but without the usual cringing associated with getting too soppy.

Our cards have all the heart, without the pretense.

HOW THE CARDS WOULD LOOK

THE CARDS:

The type would be stamped/embossed onto high quality A6 card stock to create something tactile and authentic. The type that has been used has been hand rendered and then digitised to create a more personal communication, and the layout is simple to allow the quotes to be the central focus.

THE RANGE:

To add additional value to the range, the envelopes would fold out

once opened into a heart shape, and would have an illustration

related to the chosen quote on the inside of the envelope as

displayed above. This could then be saved as a keepsake or

placed on the recipient’s wall as a poster.

Additional products would include gift tags, wrapping paper and

gift bags-cum-sick bags, all of which are designed to

communicate the same humorous and anti soppy sensibility that

belongs to the North of England.
