The Republic of Poland Baking Craftsmen Association would like to submit Mr Andrzej Piotr Szydłowski for the awards:”BAKER OF THE YEAR”

Justification

Szydłowski Andrzej Piotr born 22 February 1945, is the owner of the firm PIEKARNIA-CUKIERNIA – Andrzej Szydłowski at Gdańsk since 1974. He has taken over the father and mother the bakery established since 1948 in Gdańsk. Now Mr. Szydłowski have completely brought up to day his bakery near the street Słowackiego with seven brilliant shopping baking-centres. Mr. Szydłowski is the most active polish baker working for Bakers both on the polish and world area. Recently (29.08.2009) the organizers of the XIII Baking Fair in Jawor (Poland) have honored A. Szydlowski by diploma and Statuette of the Polish Honourable Baker – the most prestige award for polish bakers.His work has been appreciated by many nationals and professionals organizations, this proof - his activity as:

-President of “Stowarzyszenie Rzemieślników Piekarstwa RP” (The Republic of Poland Baking Craftsmen Association) from 1992 to 2002,-President of Union International de la Boulangerie et Boulangerie-Pâtisserie from 2002 to 2004 (UIB),-Vice-President of « Związek Rzemiosła Polskiego » (Polish Craft Association) from 2001 to 2005.

He is honourable President of « Stowarzyszenie Rzemieślników Piekarstwa RP » (The Republic of Poland Baking Craftsmen Association) from 2005.Moreover Mrs. A. Szydłowski was working in Poland as a vice -President of the Small and Medium Chamber Trade Business in the year (2001-2005), Member of the Social-economical European Committee (2001-2006), President of the National Baker Council (2004-2007). Now, he is a Member of the Council of Food Industry at the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry.Mr. A. Szydłowski is awarded by:-Krzyż Kawalerski Orderu Odrodzenia Polski (Cross Order of Rebirth Poland), -Szabla Kilińskiego (Kiliński Sword). Supreme decoration from

Związek Rzemiosła Polskiego (Polish Craft Association),-Złota odznaka Naczelnej Rady Zrzeszeń Handlu i Usług w Warszawie (Gold Badge from the Supreme Commerce and Service Trade Association in Warsaw),-Medal Komisji Edukacji Narodowej (Medal of the National Education Commission)and many others.

• Bread has been mankind’s main health food for more than 6.000

years

• FAO’s logo is a wheat spike surrounded by the motto: “FIAT PANIS” (LET BREAD BE MADE)

• Bread supplies fiber and most of the essential nutrients we need for

5.9. UIB Legal Status

• Actually, at this Congress meeting in Düsseldorf, it is necessary to:

• Agree on the inscription of the UIB in the National Register of Associations belonging to the competent Ministry of the Spanish government.

• Get a notary to certify:

– The existence of the UIB

– The agreement on its inscription as expressed below

– A copy of the bylaws approved at the Congress in São Paulo in 2008

– Both originals and photocopies of the appointments of Peter Becker as President and José María Fernández del Vallado as Secretary General

• Resolution: “It is agreed unanimously that the UNIÓN INTERNATIONALE DE LA BOULANGERIE ET DE LA BOULANGERIE-PÂTISSERIE (UIB) will be registered in the National Register of Associations belonging to the competent Ministry of the Spanish Government. The goal is to give the entity an appropriate legal and tributary status in order to obtain the corresponding VAT number as well as every other detail necessary for its proper working system and adequate tax paying”.
