In the comfort of her beach home at Helumoa, Waikiki,Bernice Pauahi Bishop completed her will in 1884establishing Kamehameha Schools. With the steadfast
support of her husband , Charles Reed Bishop, Pauahi's dreamwould be realized after her pass ing, changing the course ofhistory by providing for the education and well-being of herlahul in perpetu ity.
Royal Hawaiian Center at Helumoa is owned by KamehamehaSchools, and embraces their noble values of quality education,cultural vibrancy, stewardsh ip of the 'aina and its resources ,and economic vitality.
The Kaulani Heritage Room shares our mo'olelo through shortfilms produced by Kamehameha Schools. Ka 'IkenaHo'oulu a Pauahi, the bronze statue by Hawaiian artist andKamehameha graduate Sean K.K.L. Browne, is truly the pikoor cultural core of Helumoa.
