you will see different

texts with very unique or

eye catching fonts, I will

explain to you why I think they might be a

good idea for my logo.

This typography makes people think about grafitti and more of the bad side of a city. The colours under the words illustrates the idea of the rubik’s cubes and it creates quite an interesting contrast. Also from this type of typography, I can see that there must be contrast between the colours of the font and the background to make the words stand out.

I think that this typography really expresses the idea of energy in it. This is because the font is like a bully’s handwriting so it fits in with the idea of riot. I might be able to take this idea into my logo because I can use cubes to write out the words and the 6 colours for the text in contrast with the black text in the background. The exclamation mark emphasises on the fun and the energy which might catchy people’s attention. However, I wouldn’t use such a messy and edgy font because it will create a harsh idea which I think is not what cubing is about.

I really like this text because it has a mixutre of different neon colours in it and it is able to show the energy and the fun in it. The text is quite disorganised but it is not messy which gives a sense of spontanality. I might be able to use neon colours that are shades from the rubik’s cube and put it against a black background.

I particularly liked this type of typography because of it’s creativity. I think it was a great idea to put the font as an object in the advert and the contrast between the 3D shapes and the 2D shapes really makes the subject stand out more. This might be useful for my logo because I might use rubik’s cubes to build up a 3D image of words which will catch people’s attention as the idea is quite new or I might have words coming out of a rubik’s cube.
