Portrait photography is photography which mainly

focuses on a person or group of peoples faces but

may however include a background.

photography because it shows the woman’s face

clearly and also the effect of black and white gives

the photo a lot of emotion and personality.

With this picture I was trying to achieve getting

his full face in the picture but having him looking

away from the camera as it looks more natural.

Portrait photography has changed over the years

main by the style of the picture as older portraits

would mainly be looking straight towards the

camera but now a days they tend to have the

model looking else where from the camera.

Landscape

Landscape photography mainly shows the spaces of

the world. Most of the time they will be natural and

nature photos but sometimes can include a man

made feature.

I think this is a good example of landscape

photography because of the angle the shot was

taken and how it shows the mountains and sunset

in the background and also capturing the hills in the

foreground of the photo.

My example

With this picture I was trying the capture the

trees and lampposts in the background and get

the cars closer to the camera and use the

leading lines in the middle of the picture to

make people focus on the trees down the

middle of the photo.

Landscape photography has changed in the

last 100 years by mainly the technology

available to us now compared to then where

most people would have pained landscapes

rather then take photos.

Nature photography is photos that capture the wild

life, things like animals, plants and even landscapes.

I think this is a good example of nature photography

because it is taken at the specific moment of where

the picture is at its best.

With this photo I was trying to capture the trees at the

front of the shot with the sky acting as negative

space in the top corner to help the trees stand out in

the picture.

years by the technology mainly. People are able to

zoom into places from further away to make there

pictures look more appealing and professional.

technology and the way photographers take their pictures to

capture the perfect image. A lot of the photos are now changed to

black and white to make the pictures look professional and eye

catching to people and also to make the photo more meaningful.

Fashion photography is a genre of photography devoted to displaying clothing

and other fashion items. Fashion photography is most often conducted for

advertisements or fashion magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, or Elle. Over

time, fashion photography has developed its own aesthetic in which the clothes

and fashions are enhanced by the presence of exotic locations or accessories.

I think this is a good example of fashion photography because

it is clearly showing what is offered to the audience and the

addition of the background makes the picture look a lot more

professional and eye-catching to us.

With this photo I was using the clothing side of

fashion. You can clearly see what the clothing

looks like so that would make it a lot more easier

to sell in the industry an this is the type of shot a

fashion photographer for something like a

magazine would use.

people can use programs like photo shop to

enhance the picture and make the model or the

clothing look different.

Advertising Advertising photography is used to help promote a

product by showing either the product itself or

showing how it could work. Sometimes models are

included to help sell.

My example

With this photo I was using a poser with is

advertising and promoting a new product

around college. The photo shows clearly what

the poster is selling you and the inclusion of the

picture makes it eye catching and stand out.

amazing and something that all people want to
