Help Desk AnalystWorking on a help desk has given me an understanding of what types of problems occur with applications on a daily basis. Also what types of user issues arise, the frustration that is involved with this, and how to handle these types of situations. Working with Boone County Schools and the STLP program allowed me to experience workflow as the problem calls come in, get diagnosed, taken care of at the helpdesk level or routed to another team for resolution.

Configuration TechnicianFrom this perspective working at Best Buy in the computer sales department put me in a position to discover what the customer was trying to accomplish and what computing requirements would be required in order to satisfy their wishes. Once that was established I was able to recommend a product to fit their needs. After the purchase being able to take the one on one time with my customer to walk them through the setup of their new system, install and configure any 3rd party software they may have purchased, answer questions, and show them how to utilize it to its potential was very rewarding to me. With the STLP program I served as a desk side support technician which included onsite visits and contacting vendors for warranty parts, installing them and return the equipment to service.

Whether I was at the school interacting with teachers and principals helping them through issues so they can conduct class or business. Best Buy and exceeding my customer’s expectations for their computing needs. AutoZone to recommend parts and help customers through difficult and frustrating repairs on their vehicles or Chipotle by simply providing a friendly environment for customers to have a great lunch is all part of the puzzle when providing great customer service.
