Two years of CEI:Milestones & Achievements
2014-2016
Development and consolidation of its flagship projects:
| Teaching Development Program;
| Technology-Enhanced Learning.
Deepening the focus of training on priority areas building on ESADE’s teaching competences framework (Course Design; Delivery; Assessment; Metacognition).
Improvement of communication channels and onboarding strategy to increase the pool of faculty participating in the activities proposed from the Center.
Consolidation of a pool of internal mentors and instructors and, progressive expansion to incorporate external talent.
Consolidation of ties with our stakeholders with the am-plification and deepening of contacts, and the establish-ment of joined collaborative projects such as the Building your Teaching Development Program in coordination with Department Chairs, and the Exploration of Technology En-hanced Learning Projects (ICT-CEI projects).
Embracing, deepening and developing the teaching & learning potential of technology in collaboration with the ICT Department:
| Continuous upgrade of Moodle to facilitate faculty and students’ tasks and educational uses;
| Exploration of new resources and strategies for class delivery, and the creation of new learning environments;
| Provision of counseling on content creation tools;
| Design of a new project on learning analytics to track stu-dents’ progress and delineate personalized learning paths.
| Scouting for and testing of new tools and trends in
Higher Education.
The Center for Educational Innovation (CEI) provides support, counseling and resources to faculty so their teaching activity can be a source of personal and professional satisfaction and so they can contribute to the teaching philosophy of the programs where they participate and to ESADE’s mission of training future socially responsible managers, lawyers and leaders.
During its two full years of existence, the Center’s strategy has articulated around the following axis:
In 2015-2016, a 21% of ESADE faculty
participated in three or more training activities.
