LET’S MAKE TWITTER TALK!

• See a friend on Twitter? Make and send a voice memo right from your phone to them

• This is a new way to make a “phone call”to people you don’t know well (or at all)

• Pitch your idea to people who you thinkought to be interested in what you’ve got

• Twitter users are extroverted and readyto engage in new ways with new people

• They might retweet your tape if they dig it

1) GET THEIR @USERNAME AND PREPARE TO CALL THEM

• If you have someone’s @username already, you’re all set… skip to the next slide.

• To find someone’s @username, you can use an app like Tweetbot to search for them. Also: http://mashable.com/2009/07/02/twitter-people/

• If someone’s tweeted, you have their @username right there in the tweet.

• They don’t have to follow you, nor you them.

• They can always ignore your tweet, so try to stay relevant to their set of interests.

2) GET TINYVOX FROM THE APP STORE / ANDROID MARKET

• Open up TINYVOX on your phone

• Enter any @username in the tape label

3) TAPE YOUR….MESSAGE

• Touch the red RECORD button

• Talk to your friend(happy birthday! :D)

• Pause when you like

• Add text to your tapew/ the “Type text” tool

• Tape up to 30min: tweet ‘em a whole talk!

4) REVIEW IT

• Play your tape andskip forward and back

• Type up notes on thetape to give them text

• Touch the big blueShare! button – it’s off!

• Enter your Twitterusername & passwordif you haven’t already

SUCCESS !!!!

BETTER THAN A PHONE CALL

• You don’t need their phone number

• You won’t be interrupting them with a call

• If they just tweeted out, they’re tuned and probably awaiting interesting responses

• You can talk up to 30 minutes, not 30sec

• You can add as much text as you want too

• Email them an MP3 attachment instead if you need 100% privacy (twitter is public)
