My assignment includes two high schools, so I get to work with over 75 secondary teachers. Nicole is one of our most tech-savvy instructors, as her students appreciate the independence of also receiving their assignments through Edmodo, an online social classroom learning system. She has worked many extra hours to get her curricula entered into her Edmodo classes. Nicole is also appreciated by the staff, because many of them turn to her for quick tutorials or for trouble shooting tech glitches. She is a generous and kind tech-coach who is also a team player. It is a fun adventure to visit anyone of Nicole's four preps: Teen Living, Adult Living, Nutrition/Foods, and Food Production Management. Students are interacting and involved in their own learning, as shown by the awards they win for their food production skills. In the yearly "Death by Chocolate" Twin Falls Rotary Club Fundraiser, Nicole's students swept the competition. Her students also raved about what a great time they had during their preparation for the gala evening of community chocolate tasting. As a seasoned supervisor of student teachers for ten years at Boise State University, I can attest to Nicole's exceptional coachability. At the fall faculty meeting I asked if I could visit classes on the first day of school; Nicole volunteered immediately. I-got to observe Teen Living and Nutrition/Foods. Her preparation contained detailed syllabi, Edmodo instructions, and student-driven agendas specific to each class' curriculum. Nicole Manwaring is a highly skilled teacher, who incorporates technology with her student-centered lessons. Her strength is her collaborative coachability, because she will do whatever it takes for h~r students to excel and become college and career ready. If you have any questions or would like to talk to me about Nicole Manwaring's professional prowess, please feel free to call me: 208-830-9281.
