programs in the fields of Customer Service,

Through partnerships with experienced
work placement providers, IHCC
guarantees students will receive all the
support they need to find the most suitable
jobs in the Greater Vancouver area.
Job placement procedure
1. Meeting with counsellor for one-on-one assistance two
months prior to the end of the study period
2. Counsellor contacts the work placement provider
3. Student meets with specialized job coordinator
4. Student is matched for interviews with employers based
on their needs and objectives
5. Student receives ongoing assistance and co-op
monitoring by IHCC counsellor and job placement provider

TOIEC 500, International House level 4
(assessed via online language test and
interview) or Canadian Language
benchmark 5.

IHC in TESL IHC in TESL is an intensive full-time course designed
to maximize your time and to thoroughly prepare you
for your future teaching. Recognized by TESL Canada.
• Full-time course with 130 contact hours over 4 weeks

observation of experienced teachers and 10 hours of
supervised teaching practice
ID TESOL The International Diploma in Teaching English to
Speakers of Other Languages (ID TESOL) is a 10-week
course designed as an extension to the IHC in TESL. A
typical program will follow this outline:
J-Shine J-SHINE – Japan Shogakko (elementary
school) Instructors of English – is the Japanese
organization which awards the certificate for
working as an English teacher in Japanese
elementary schools. This course enables graduates
to teach children in both private and public schools.
CELTAThe course is awarded by the prestigious
