TURKISH CUISINE
Turkey is a country that has a lot of cultures,traditions,cuisines in it.
Turkey has seven regions and each regionhas different cuisine,climate and alsotraditions.
It’s interesting that according to theirclimate,cuisine and cultures ,people has different characteristics.
For instance,in the North of our countrypeople would prefer hot and sour meals.
Turkish cuisine is very rich and this is related to a lot of reasons.The cuisine is based on ancient times as OttomanEmpire.
Now we still have some tastes fromOttoman.It consists of spiciy,hot,pastryand sometimes oily meals.
Also our cuisine has some specifichealthy food such as yoghurt,wheat,pekmez.
They are so healthy and they are foundeasily in everywhere.
Now let’s see some of our specific
meals and foods!
Aegean Religion is famous with itsoily salads and also vegetables.
Artichoke, which is a kind of Aegean Meal,is so healthy
Kidney Bean (Börülce),which is a kind of an oily salad, is found in thesea or is grown on the land.
Black Sea Religion is famous with fishand seafood.Also because of its rainyseason there are some specificvegetables and pulses.
It is Blacksea Bread that neverbecome stale.
Mıhlama ,which is a kind of specificmeal in Black Sea Religion,is madeof a kind of cheese and egg.
The south of our contry is famouswith its dessert: Baklava

Lahmacun
Rice Pudding
Mantı is famous especially in Kayseri.
All over the world Turkish Coffee is sofamous
Altough our various kinds of healthy foodand meals,it is very regrettable to seedemand of fast food.
Unfortunately new generation spendtheir hours eating unhealthy junk food.
Employment of woman,influence of western countries,
industrialization,urbanization,tourism,innovation in the food sector are somemore important reasons of changes of
our food culture.
In order not to forget our cuisine we areworking in our lab from Ottoman to
modern Turk cuisine.
