D E S C R I P T I O N

Tune it UP EVS is 2  month group EVS project held in

the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi. It will bring together

10 volunteers from Italy to take part in preparation and

 implementation of the event what is called Street

Music Day. Street Music Day is an annual festival of

cultures, music and arts held in Tbilisi, Georgia, it

supports and promotes inclusion, volunteering,

participation, art  and diversity. Since 2012 Youth

Association DRONI is organizing this project together

with the local volunteers, youth groups, other

 organizations and local municipality. This is a good

example of cross­sectoral cooperation dedicated to

promote and support young artists, professional and

semi­professional young musicians. Besides that, the

festival is also a good example of cross­cultural and

international cooperation ­ the festival involves artists

from different countries and ethnic backgrounds.

V O L U N T E E R S P R O F I L E

We are searching for young people  from 18 to 30

years, Interested in Media, design and event

management. The most important measure for

selection will be the motivation of the volunteer to learn

specific competences, to work responsibly, to gain the

experience of living and working in international group

and implement Street Music Day and make it visible.

 

      Volunteers are required to have following profile:

Motivated to Learn specific competencies 

Ready to live in international environment

To have a  passion and interest in following ­

Photography; Videography; Web­design; Music; Stage

installation.

Creative approach     

An Understanding of appropriate technical equipment

Non Judgmental approach to people and work 

Sense of curiosity and ability to learn quickly 

Organisational Skills 

Spoken and written communication in English would be

appreciated but its not compulsory

A C T I V I T I E S .

Since year 2012 in every spring/summer, Youth Association

DRONI  is organizing a music festival “Street Music Day”,

which is giving chance to young, musicians,individuals and

bands to play their music in public in front of the wider

audience. From the very first time festival had a big

resonance from side of society, that’s why it became annual

and bigger with each year. The festival is initiated and

implemented by the young people. Main aim of the project is

to foster mutual understanding, raise the awareness of

cultural diversity  between young people from Italy and

Georgia through art and culture and achieve cultural dialogue

between them through turning them in a process of planning,

preparing and conducting the music festival, Street Music

day.

T A S K S The volunteers will be directly involved in organizing this

event with members of the local organization,volunteers

and musicians. Together they will be required to manage

the organizational matters, popularize the event,make it

visible and manage.Before the key action, they will be

delivered training, informational meetings and workshops

about the topic by the experienced local organizing

team.The workshops will be aiming to generate ideas,

brainstorm, explore creative ways and discuss specific

issues. Their specific tasks of the volunteers can be

summarized as follows: ­ Create, manage and update a

website, a blog, a facebook page and a youtube channel

of the events, design flyers, leaflets and posters;making a

Video and Photo reportage ­ Plan and implement the

promotion of the  event in order to reach the widest

possible audience; ­ Keep in touch with all the parties

involved (local volunteers, institutions and musicians) in

order to harmonize the preparation and implementation

phases; ­ Take care of practical aspects of the

preparation and implementation of the festival, such as

gathering materials, supporting the musicians,

coordinating the staff. ­Plan the dissemination of the

results and create a booklet with the guidelines to

replicate the festivals in Georgia and in their native

countries.

E X A M P L E O F O N EW E E K T I M E T A B L E

Volunteer will be working 6 hours per day. They will have Free

weekend and two days of holiday in each month.
