The Midwest Counterdrug Training Center is one of five Department of Defense funded, National Guard administered Counterdrug training schools. Funded through
the Department of Defense and administered by the Iowa National Guard, the Midwest Counterdrug Training Center began operations in January 2003. To date, we have
trained over 150,000 local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, prevention and treatment professionals, as well as military students throughout the United States. All
courses are tuition free and taught by highly-regarded professionals and reputed experts in their fields.
MCTC offers tuition free courses year-round with limited free lodging on Camp Dodge JMTC, Johnston, IA. Mobile training is also available for most MCTC Courses – bringing
