like to encourage all students to do their personal best and a great way of achieving this will be to
have a good sleep the night before each test. Testing will take place from Tuesday 12th to Thursday
14th May with Friday 15th as a catch up day. Please speak to your class teacher if you have any con-
cerns.

North-West Cricket Trials
Well done Zack & Dylan! Yesterday Zack Doring and Dylan
Smith travelled to Tamworth to participate in North-West
Regional cricket trials.
Both boys played exceptionally well and both were chosen
to be part of the North-West team to represent our region
at the State Championships. What an outstanding effort
boys! These two are the first boys ever to represent Wee
Waa Public School at State Level cricket.

Girls PSSA Netball Knockout Competition
On Monday the Girls PSSA Netball Team travelled to Burren Junction to play in the second round of the knockout competition.
The girls all played well taking the lead early in the game. Our defence players made sure that Burren Junction Public School
needed to work hard to get the ball in their goal circle. At the end of the fourth quarter we had won the game 24 – 0. What a
fantastic result!
I would like to congratulate the girls on their conduct while representing the school and the way in which they interacted with
the students of Burren Junction Public school.
Thank you to Kerry Crutcher who travelled with the girls to Burren Junction and also umpired the game. Thank you also to the
parents who travelled to watch the game and cheer on our girls.
The team will play in the third round of the competition later this month.
League Tag & Rugby League Gala Day
Our Year 5 & 6 students left for Narrabri this
morning for a day of fun football skill build-
ing. The girls will join other local schools for
a day of League Tag and the boys will be
playing modified Rugby League. Photos and
a full report will follow in next weeks News-
letter.
Students were accompanied by Mrs Dea-
con, Mrs Currey and Mr Toomey.
Art Extension
Last week we were fortunate to have Mrs Wendy
Cameron in to give us some lessons on the finer
points of pottery.
Our students really enjoyed this hands on activity
and showed some excellent creative skills.

ing with Mr Collier later this term.
