ARTICLE
As well as being one of the leading UK providers in temporary works training, Thomas Telford Training is now an accredited Site Safety Plus training provider of the Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course (TWCTC).
The course was launched by the CITB in response to recent efforts to tighten procedural control on temporary works projects, whereby the construction industry issued a mandate that all Temporary Works Co-ordinators are to hold CSkills certifi cation.
Delivered across 2 days, the course is designed to assist those on site who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works. It is also designed to give confi dence to senior management and those who engage contractors. Participating delegates will reach an assessed standard of knowledge and be awarded a CSkills Site Safety Plus Certifi cate on successful completion.
The course has the support of a number of organisations: CITB, Temporary Works Forum CECA, UKCG, HSE and FMB, making it transferable across industry.
HOW WILL YOU BE AWARDED?
A CSkills Site Safety Plus Certifi cate on successful completion of the 2 day programme and on passing a multiple choice CITB examination following the course.

My working career has been with contractors directly involved in construction, and therefore have been engaged with a very wide range of temporary works, both hands-on and the management of the works.
I have particularly enjoyed helping to raise the profi le of temporary works co-ordination over the last four years through delivery of the TTT suite of training programmes, and am pleased that our 2-day TWC course aligns precisely with the CITB/SSP accredited course I deliver as an approved TWCTC tutor.
