ed by the Regional Growth Fund. The fundingwas secured from the Government’s RegionalGrowth Fund through Lancaster University,which is leading the creation of 15 new growthhubs across the UK. All 15 provide business ad-vice, support and services through trusted or-ganisations and advisers helping to make realdifference to businesses.The Black Country Growth Hub brings to-

gether, in partnership, the four local authorities,the Manufacturing Advisory Service, the BlackCountry Chamber of Commerce, the Universityof Wolverhampton and the Black Country Con-sortium enabling businesses to reach a widerange of business expertise and knowledgethrough a single point of access.

From Start-up to SMEThe Black Country Growth Hub provides sup-

port and advice to businesses from the initial

stages of setting-up as an enterprise throughto assisting established companies seekingfunding to support growth. It is running start-upseminars led by experienced and knowledge-able advisers across the Black Country.The seminars are free to attend and offer the

chance to gain essential information about fi-nance, planning and legal requirements. Thereis also the opportunity for two follow-up indi-vidual mentoring sessions to ensure everythingis on track.
