On Wednesday 23 April staff from Inspira spoke to Year 12 students about the oppor-
tunity to take part in the National Citizen Service scheme.
NCS is open to 15-17 year olds and programme start dates for Carlisle and Eden are 14th July, 28 July and 4
August.
The scheme involves 2 weeks of team building whilst living away from home followed by 2 weeks at home
putting new skills to use in the local community.
After completion students attend a graduation event & receive a certificate signed by the Prime Minister.
This is a once in a lifetime experience which as well as building confidence and leadership skills is also
great for CVs and making UCAS applications stand out from the crowd!
The total cost is £35 and Year 12 students were strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity.
Application forms are available from the Sixth Form Office or students can call into the Inspira office or find out more online at www.inspira.org.uk/ncs
