LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPaL
Inspired by our theme, we reached a successful conclusion of the 2013-2014 school year “Led by the Spirit, the Wind Beneath Our Wings.” Throughout the year we relied on the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives to help us reach our goals and to become a presence of Gods goodness in the world. We had much to celebrate at the closing academic assembly when numerous students were recognized for scholarship, service, and a variety of activities. Every graduate of the Class of 2014 was accepted into the high school of his/her first choice and this class was the recipients of twenty-nine scholarships – a record! During the year students enjoyed many excellent field trips that enhanced their studies; teachers participated in professional workshops to enrich their teaching and many enhancements contributed to the aesthetics of Trinity’s facilities and grounds thanks to your generous support of our annual fund. We are grateful for your commitment to and generous support of Trinity. You will always remain in our grateful prayers.

If I had to choose one word to describe this year in relation to our theme of “Led by the Holy Spirit, the Wind Beneath My Wings”, it, of course, would be “Spirit”. The Holy Spirit, present in each of us, inspires us to live a life which serves a larger purpose than purely ourselves. Your generosity is evidence of both the “Spirit” at work and the “spirit” of Trinity School for which you are willing to put forth effort and sacrifice to support. Without generous people such as you that truly believe in Trinity and all of its endeavors, Trinity could not exist.
Being the exemplary school that it is, our students have many things to learn during their years here. Thus, maintaining the highest standards of education for our students is vital. Without doubt, the cost of this is considerable, but the returns on our investment continue to be countless, as with each year we realize and appreciate our students’ accomplishments. Without the generosity you offer with the gifts of your time and monetary donations our community could not benefit from the many blessings we enjoy.

Trinity School is a school where students learn to love learning. It is a unique community made up of students, parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, relatives, teachers, and staff. Each component of this Trinity family contributes to the success of our students. Volunteering at special events, enriching the basic learning experience in the classroom and at home, supporting the students at various school events, and participating in extracurricular activities are just some of the ways we enrich our students experience at Trinity.
Our students receive a continuum of learning resulting in a strong preparation for higher education. All of our 2014 graduates received admission into the high school of their choice and received over $413,000 in scholarships. Additionally, these graduates leave Trinity as well-rounded, self-motivated, and responsible individuals with a sense of their faith, their community and compassion for others. Trinity graduates understand the concept of effort and reward and of duty, accountability, and responsibility. Trinity learners are curious and inquisitive and are encouraged to look beyond simple answers into the “how and why” of the world around them. Trinity’s success would not be possible without your participation and financial support. Your continued support is critical to the realization of Trinity’s educational and developmental goals and objectives. Additionally, your past generosity has made it possible for Trinity to fulfill its mission - to nurture growth in mind, body and spirit of the young learners entrusted to our care.
Looking forward, our goal of increasing enrollment remains paramount to the economic viability of our community. As we continue marketing and recruiting efforts, we strongly encourage parents to spread the good news about Trinity.
Finally, it is my pleasure to present to you the 2013-2014 Annual Fundraising Report. This report serves to recognize and thank the members of our Trinity family who provided financial support this past year.

Named in honor of the foundress of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the Julie Billiart Society honors those individuals whose cumulative gifts to the Trinity School Annual Giving Campaign have reached $5,000 and above. Each member of the Julie Billiart Society is awarded a plaque that bears the inscription of a quote by Sir Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” In addition to the individual plaques, the names of the members are engraved on a permanent plaque that is displayed in the foyer of St. Julie Hall. Trinity will also be honoring those Julie Billiart Society members who have given cumulative gifts of $10,000.
We also gratefully recognize the donors who have given cumulative gifts of $20,000 or more. This group of donors , known as the Namur Society, is named for the city in Belgium in which resides the international headquarters of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

In the 2013-2014 school year, our eighth grade parents achieved the goal of 100% parent participation in Annual Giving. Trinity proudly awards them the driveway sign in honor of the Class of 2014 based on this accomplishment. The challenge is now extended to the parents of the Class of 2015 and will again be based on 100% parent participation in annual giving. Leading the parents were 8th Grade Class Agents Susie Mathis and Anita Heffernan. We thank the parents of the Class of 2014 for their donations to this year’s Annual Giving Campaign.

St. Julie directs us to labor with the Holy Spirit in the work he has entrusted to us. When it comes to our work at Trinity, we have each been appointed our obvious tasks. We are teachers. We are administrators. We are staff. We are parents. We are grandparents. We are students. But somewhere along the line, the Holy Spirit infuses us with the desire to serve Trinity not only in the obvious but also in the not so obvious ways.
Thank you to the leaders of our parent committees and their teams for providing a year of programs and events presented in Trinity’s typical atypical style: Annual Giving Agents, Home & School Association, Boosters, Community Committee, Scholarship, TAC, Public Relations and Marketing, Trick or Trot 5K, Golf Classic and the Bull & Oyster Roast. Your efforts lifted our spirits and provided the financial means to carry on Trinity’s tradition of educational excellence. Thank you for seizing the opportunity to serve our school and our community. The Holy Spirit and YOU are the wind beneath our wings!
Many thanks to everyone who participated in our Annual Giving campaign this year. Annual Giving provides a firm foundation for our fundraising efforts. We continually strive to reach our goal of 100% parent participation! Trinity’s other donor groups such as grandparents, alumni, alumni parents and friends of Trinity also participate faithfully each year. These funds provide the tools we need that are not covered by tuition alone, specifically in the areas of technology, scholarship funds, campus maintenance, enhanced field trips and the Bauer Media Center.
At Trinity we are led by the Holy Spirit who gives us what we need to do our best work at all times. I personally wish to thank all of you for supporting Trinity School by being actively involved in its mission and vision. This is the essence of development at Trinity and I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.
