MOBILE PHONES

I have chosen to do mobile phones for my area of computing technology because they have developed a lot through the years since they were invented.

I will be looking about how they have developed , their uses and impacts and their legal ethical issues and any other facts.

DEVELOPMENTS OF MOBILE PHONES

Mobile phone have had many developments including built in front and back camera, internet , the battery lasts much longer and you only have to charge it at home for around 2 hours rather than charging it for 10 and only being able to use it for 30 minutes. Another way they have developed is by most the front of the phone. is mostly the screen and the graphics are much better and clearer.

USES AND THE IMPACT OF MOBILE PHONES

You can call people using your phone People are less social and would rather talk to people on the phone rather than face to face if this didn’t exist people would be more social.

You can text people using your phone Everyone texts nowadays and would probably rather text someone then talk to them in person. If this didn’t exist maybe people would be more social and more confident.

You can use the internet using your phone Everyone uses social media which is the internet and most peoples life is run by social media. If this didn’t exist there wouldn’t be as much conflict and depression off photos and the media.

You can take pictures with your phone. The impact of taking pictures with your phone is that people take selfies and take pictures all the time for everything. If this didn’t exist people wouldn’t worry about little things like what they look like but photography wouldn’t be as good which is a bag thing.

You can use applications on your phone. For example: Games , photo editers ect

The impacts of this is that people use the apps all the time from the app store or play store And use them everyday. People wouldn’t be tempted to spend money on these apps if they didn’t exist.

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF MOBILE PHONES DIDN’T EXIST? If phones didn’t exist more people that are local to each other would be more social and have face to face conversations. Also there would be less cases of depression and conflict between everyone because of cyber bullying and photo shop that makes people want to look different and later on causes serious legal things.

On the other hand, if mobile phones didn’t exist family and friends that aren’t local and might live in different countries would loose communication with each other because they cant have face to face communication. Also people that work would not be able to communicate amount meeting ect also the police and emergency services wouldn’t be able to be called as there would not be the devices.

LEGAL ISSUES

A legal issue to do with mobile phones is trying to protect children from the internet. This means you can easily act as someone younger and create a fake account on the internet. Also you can find out anything and everything about anyone on the internet which is why you should be careful about what you put onto the internet. Also everything on the internet link so anyone can find you whether you’re not the same age, gender or even in the same country. Some people ignore personal accountability and still use there phones while driving. Drivers are distracted by their mobile phones and don’t even look up at the road and are just taken over by their phone.

SOCIAL ISSUES

Mobile technology has helped everyone in many ways but has also put a restriction on peoples privacy because of cameras and the un answered question if someone could be hacking into your camera and getting all sorts of information about you. Mobile phones threaten our safety but now they maybe even control some peoples life. Mobile phones take away communication between friends and family and all we do is text and don’t communicate and if we do its normally planned and controlled by our phones.

ETHICAL ISSUES

A ethical issue is parents and guardians using mobile phones to distract children for example if the child is bored or being noisy they would just give them their phone to keep them quiet which is again stopping communication. Another ethical issue is people taking pictures or sound recordings of others which could come as a legal issue if it becomes serious. This is a ethical issue because no one asks if its okay to take a picture or a recording so no one has respect for anyone's privacy or rights. Also young children get mobile phones now as some parents think their young children should have one as soon as they go to school but others thing that is wrong and could take away there communication skills already and take away there child hood as they would have to grow up quickly with social media.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, I think that mobile phones have seriously developed over the years and in one way that’s a good thing but also it has brought negative situations with it that has been the source to many recent problems in todays society.
