EBP IN CLINICAL SETTINGS All abstracts must include the below information:

1. Overview/Summary (1000 character limit) The overview/summary provides a logical discussion with substantial details supporting the overall purpose.

2. Background and Significance (1000 character limit) The background and significance of the problem or issue is comprehensively described.

3. Searchable Question using PICO(T), PICO, PESICO or other Appropriate Format (500 character limit) Follows a format and all elements clearly stated.

4. Search Strategy (500 character limit) Comprehensive search strategy clearly described.

5. Evidence Synthesis from Search (500 character limit) Evidence Synthesis is comprehensive and clearly described.

6. Synthesis Table(s) (500 character limit) Multiple synthesis tables included and reflect synthesis of the evidence.

7. Evidence-based Practice Change Recommendation (500 character limit) Provides substantial detail and a logical explanation of the recommended evidence-based practice change based on the evidence. The recommended practice change addressed the problem/issue.

8. Evidence-based Practice Change Implementation (500 character limit) Provides substantial detail of how the recommended evidence-based practice change was implemented.

9. Outcomes (500 character limit) Multiple outcomes identified that are measurable and align with the practice change that was implemented.

10. Dissemination Plan (500 character limit) Multi-faceted dissemination plan is described in substantial detail.

11. Sustainability (500 character limit) The plan for sustaining the initiative is described in substantial detail.

LEADERSHIP IN EBP All abstracts must include the below information:

1. Overview/summary (1000 character limit) Present a logical discussion with substantial details that support the overall purpose.

2. Background and Significance (1000 character limit) Provide the background and significance of the problem or issue.

3. Description of the Team (500 character limit) Designate team leader(s), stakeholders, and member roles.

4. Review of Literature with Evidence Synthesis (500 character limit) Summarize your literature review (databases, keywords) and synthesize literature findings. (A synthesis table is preferred.)

5. Description of the Organizational Context (500 character limit) Describe the infrastructure related to the EBP initiative (i.e. how organizational decisions are made, and which organizational strategies and resources were useful).

6. Recommendation of Evidence-Based Leadership Initiative (500 character limit) State the recommended leadership practice to address the problem/issue. Provide substantial detail and a logical explanation based on the evidence.

7. Implementation of Evidence-Based Leadership Initiative (500 character limit) Explain how you implemented the evidence-based leadership initiative, including the plans for evaluation and outcomes measurement.

8. Outcomes (500 character limit) Present your measurable outcomes, and describe how they align with organizational metrics. Ideally include a value-driven outcome(s) or a return-on-investment (ROI) measure.

9. Dissemination Plan (500 character limit) Describe internal and external dissemination plans.

10. Sustainability (500 character limit) Report plans for sustaining the initiative and delineating accountability.


RESEARCH ON IMPLEMENTATION?TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE (or) RESEARCH ABOUT EBP All abstracts must include the below information:

4. Method Used (500 character limit) Method appropriate to address research question and method elements [design, sample, setting, instruments, intervention (if appropriate), data collection, procedures] clearly stated.

5. Human Subjects’ Approval (500 character limit)

Need for human subjects’ approval addressed. 6. Data Analysis (500 character limit)

Data analysis appropriate for methods and question and specific statistics or qualitative approach discussed.

7. Results and Analysis (500 character limit) Results address research questions/aims and are clearly articulated, sample is described comprehensively, analysis reported clearly.

8. Discussion and Conclusions (500 character limit) Discussion and conclusions appropriately follow data presented and are clearly stated.
