You should apply for the Fall semester no later than June 1 prior to the semester you wish to start. You should apply for the Spring semester no later than December 1 prior to the semester you wish to start. Students with 24 or more earned transferable semester hours of credit must have a 2.0 cumulative average on a 4.0 scale. If an applicant has attended more than one institution, the cumulative GPA will be computed on grades received in courses from all institutions attended. Students with fewer than 24 transferable credits must have a 2.5 minimum cumulative average and provide an official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores to the Admissions Office prior to admission. If you are admitted while still enrolled at another institution, you must maintain the required cumulative grade point average and remain in good academic standing to maintain your admission to FSU. FAFSA form needs to be completed and submitted by March 1 to be eligible for scholarships. The FAFSA form is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. FSU’s code is 002072.

Along with government grants, Frostburg State University offers many departmental and university-wide scholarships.

The Admissions Office offers an Academic Excellence Scholarship for transfer students. Minimum requirements include 30 transferable credits, 3.8 GPA, and enrolled full time.
