Training exercise: In groups of 3

• Partner 1 starts with high serve.• Performer moves to back of court to play

O.H.Clear• Back to ready position• Partner 2 plays net shot• Performer quickly gets to front of court to return

net shot• Back to ready position• Repeat 5 times

Training exercise:

• Continuous dribbling full length of court.• Perform lay-up and collect rebound.• Dribble to other basket, perform lay-up

and collect rebound.• Repeat for 10-15mins.

Note: we must work within our training zone

Advantages of training within the activity:

• Improve physical fitness and technique at the same time

• Increase in motivation when training through the activity

• Practice is realistic – performing the skill when you are fatigued (tired)
