From Vision to Action, Growing Capacities for Change in the IVS Movement

The Vision to Action project aim is to increase the existing capacities and potential within IVS organisations and empower them to follow up

on the strategic goals defined in the White Paper for IVS in the thematic area of Sustainability and Environment, whilst enforcing the support measures: Networking, Capacity Building, Impact and Communication and Visibility.

The project consists of:

4 TRAININGS on: Impact and Sustainability for campleader trainers in Germany hosted by VJF between 21 27 January 2015 Planning and Fundraising for staff and board members in Argentina hosted by Subir al Sur between 11 17 April 2015 Human Rights, Advocacy & Awareness Raising for activists, trainers and volunteers in Belgium hosted by JAVVA between 4 10 May 2015 Media and Communication for staff in Hungary hosted by Egyesek between 10 16 June 2015

30 INTERREGIONAL YOUTH CAMPS hosted by many of the partners of this project in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Americas and Europe

Objectives: To develop strategic planning and fundraising skills within the IVS organisations To evaluate diverse kind of funding sources (public/private, ...), exchange good practices and tools. To initiate synergies on different levels in order to have access new funding, joining forces to implement projects with bigger impact. To explore Consortium models (local- national, nat-nat, nat- int, int-int, ..). To open doors for a follow-up group on fundraising, strategic planning and financial support.


Target group: staff and board members

Financial conditions:

TRAVEL COSTS: Member organisations and partners are expected to cover the travel costs of their representatives. A maximum of 70% of all travel costs will be reimbursed by CCIVS the earliest 3 months after the end of the activity on receipt of all boarding passes, train/bus tickets, visa receipts etc.., up to a limit of : 700 euros for participants from Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa and USA; 550 euros for participants from Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico; 400 euros for participants from Peru; 100 euros for participants from Argentina. VISA and INSURANCE: If you need insurance for a visa, please kindly contact the Secretariat and we will arrange it for you. CCIVS will reimburse the total costs of a visa up to: 60 euros.

Yes, we are citizens! The rights of migrant people, refugees and IVS" is a training where we want to gather activists and local volunteers involved in the thematics of human rights, and especially regarding the topic of migrant people, refugees and the right to citizenship, from the very diverse countries in Europe; and go through a training process in which we will acquire: understanding of the situation of human rights in Europe; exchange of experiences and knowledge from experts and every participant; skills for activism and awareness raising; experience in organising awareness raising activities. The training is based on the idea that every person (as recognised in the Universal Charter of Human Rights) has the right to a decent life, regardless of the place s/he is living, regardless of the place s/he was born. That every person is entitled to the right of citizenship, participation and basic rights, and that only admitting and promoting this fact will real sustainable societies, democratic societies be built. We are willing to contribute to this process by training, exchanging and raising awareness with young activists/volunteers from all over Europe and link this to the International Voluntary Service movement. The aim of the training is also that participants will be empowered to organise awareness raising actions in their countries when they go back, so that the multiplying effect will make that actions on human rights related to migrations, refugees and the right to move will happen and generate debates all over Europe and the world after the training. Objectives: To develop knowledge of the pluridimensional concept of sustainability, linked to human rights and social inclusion. To train young activists, involved volunteers in IVS organisations, on the topic of Human Rights and Migrations, developing skills for awareness raising actions.


To raise awareness on the topic of Human Rights of all people and specially linked to the right of mobility, migrations and refugee people To conduct advocacy and institutional action about the topic and following the Campaign for Freedom of Movement of the CCIVS
