OVERVIEW
Description
The Trainer Presentation Skillset provides you with the capability to plan and deliver presentations and provide skilldevelopment to adult learners.
This course is ideal for people who supervise or conduct training in their workplace or in community organisations. Youwill develop communication skills in relation to training small groups, and learn how to effectively provide Work SkillInstruction to others. If you would like a taste of teaching in an adult context or want to improve your capability, skillsand confidence in training then this course is for you
Learners could come from any vocational background and have varied experience and skills.
Learners may also be aspiring teachers and trainers who wish to pathway into the Certificate IV in Training andAssessment.
Pre-training Review
You must complete a compulsory pre-training review before attending class.
Prior to your enrolment a pre-training review will be conducted with you to confirm that the course you are seeking toenrol into meets your individual needs. The link will be emailed to you upon your booking. Failure to complete will incur a $20 administration fee for a booking cancellation or transfer.

Prepare a presentation
Plan and document outcomes
Choose presentation strategies,
Select presentation aids, materials and techniques
Brief others involved in the presentation on their roles/responsibilities within the presentation
Effective communication Principles
Utilise Equipment, materials and business software packages for making a presentation, business technology,interaction with others.
Summarise key concepts to facilitate participant understanding
Implement techniques to review the effectiveness of the presentation
Select techniques to evaluate presentation effectiveness
Identify OH&S and WHS requirements
Organise instruction and demonstration
WHAT YOU GET
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for credit and certification for the followingaccredited units from TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment:
- BSBCMM401 - Make a presentation
- TAEDEL301 - Provide work skill instruction
TIMES AND VENUE
Tuesday evenings 5:00pm-9:00pm
This short course will be delivered via attendance at 6 X 4 hour face to face virtual classroom sessions over a six weekperiod and supplemented by online resources, independent study and completion of assessment tasks. All writtenwork and assessment will be submitted via South West TAFE Online.
