47 years old. Originally from Singapore and has been in Malaysia

for 6 years now, with 3 years in Bintulu alone. His family is

currently in Singapore, and he doing his best to spend as much

site, and this project has been totally a new experience for her. She is happy to be working in this project and

has made many new friends, as well as learning different cultures. She acknowledges that Train 9 Project

practices a very high standard of HSE and everyone must adhere to the safety rules. This is not just good for

oneself but important to everyone collectively. Olivia is committed to constantly intervening in occurrences

of any unsafe acts. At times her interventions are not well received but she does not give up and persistently

tries to make one understand the risks. Olivia values the IIF culture which makes us understand that apart

from our own safety, we have to think and care about others. We have to work as a team to keep everyone

safe. Olivia urges everyone to realise the impact and difficulties that our families will face if anything

26 years old. He shared that he feels so fresh daily, and is enthusiastic about his work, plus he got lots of

friends from different nations that makes him work in a free manner. About the Train 9 Project, he shared

that he is impressed with how safety is managed, and said that the Safety culture here brings this project to a

higher level. He also added that for him, the Project will finish on time due to a lot of subcontractor works in

this Project, which makes it easier to work on a higher level. The Train 9 Project uses quite a number of

equipment to handle this Project, which makes it helpful for the Project to move in a smooth manner. His

commitment in terms of Safety, is to use complete PPE at all times in our Site premises, and to help others

but currently residing in Bintulu. She is 43 years old, married, and has one child, who is now 14 years old. Her

daily duties include cleaning rooms, changing linens, mopping floors and ensuring that the area is always

clean. To her, working as a housekeeper requires focus, plus a sound mind and body. In addition,

housekeepers need to make the workers satisfied with cleanliness, which is extremely challenging for her.

Nevertheless, she really enjoys working in this Project. Because in Train 9, safety is really implemented, like

wearing masks during room cleaning. Besides that, she also has good teammates and a good supervisor. She

hopes the tenants will cooperate with housekeeping in taking care of cleanliness, because a clean room will

definitely make them feel comfortable during their stay in camp. She wishes this Project can be accomplished

on time, and successfully.

In his view, Train 9 project provides a chance to gain more experience, which he can his refer to for future

employment opportunities. He also shared that since he started working at Train 9, he was able to have more

money. He also shared that the workers and the Management in this project are friendly. But, some of the

workers are not cooperative with the Security team. For him, more improvement in attitude and respect for

each other is needed from these workers . His commitment for Train 9 is to be more zealous in carrying out his

duties, to protect the safety of this Project, and to hopefully build a good relationship with everyone in Train

’m 35 years old, and comes from Garut, West Java, Indonesia. He is married, and already has a baby. He has Ibeen working at Train 9 for 1 year, under AEIC. His current assignment is as a Storekeeper, who is

responsible for maintaining all equipment, machinery and so on to ensure that workers can get their work

completed. In his view, work in Train 9 is very good both in terms of schedule, safety, IIF (Incident & Injury

Free) and the relationship between the employees, Subcontractor, Contractor, and Petronas. What he

notices most of the time in Train 9 are good safety practices like PPE , tools inspection, and the PTW (Permit To

Work) requirement. For him, items for improvement include management being more concerned about all

workers specific to their work, regarding progress, quality & safety, and not only in general terms. His

commitment to Train 9 in terms of progress is working with more enthusiasm towards the task that is set

before him. In terms of quality, his commitment is fast work, yet good quality in accordance with what is

required. In terms of safety, his commitment is to value the importance of safety in the workplace, and

compliance with the safety guideleines. In terms of IIF, his commitment is to establish good relations

issues. With the workplace getting more congested and more numbers of heavy equipment coming in, we are

facing lack of trained signalmen. This makes me become extra cautious and more aware of danger always. As

for my commitment to the Train 9 Project, I will work safely, and speak up when I see something unsafe or

someone doing something unsafe.

the world. Working on site for him is very stressful due to weather condition, unforeseen problems, and

pressure but still he is happy to fulfill his job as a worker to meet the deadlines and go home happily and

safely. He is happy because he is now gaining more working experience, and because of good relationship

with his colleagues, especially his WL Mr. Wong who is always there for them, to remind all every morning on

the importance of working safely. The concern that he has is the improvement in road pavement. His

commitment as a worker is to follow all the rules and regulations of JMSB, to work productively, and with

good quality, and without harming himself so he can go home happily.

smooth construction project, everything goes as per planned. Everybody work together as a 'big team' to

complete the task. As he has seen, there is good relationship between workers and management, between

main – contractor and sub-contractor. Nonetheless, worker also very cooperative to each other even- though

they are coming from different countries and different language. The most important thing to improve in this

project is the communication. It would make thing easier if we can communicate and understand each other

very well. For him, these factors are related to each other: if there is no QUALITY and SAFETY, he believe it was

no good PROGRESS and vice-verse. He hopes everybody would give their 110% commitment and

cooperation to complete this project successfully with the target schedule and good quality.

for his sacrifice working abroad is to give his children a proper education that would guide them to

be a successful person someday. He also added, working hard is not only the reason to succeed and

to have a good family relationship but, continue or non-stop communication to his children and

parents in the Philippines during his free time. He also would like to take this opportunity to be

thankful for his parents in taking care of the children. His point of view in TRAIN9 project is same as a

point of view that he mentioned above, working hard is not only the reason to attain our goal but,

good communication skills, unreasonable care to each other, having a good quality work and a non-

stop reminding of our safety while working, are the key to our success and to be the historical

who came from a city called Visakhapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh. What he likes the most about our

Train 9 Project is the HSE Rules in place. He highly values the effort by the Project Management Team to drive

workers to achieve more productivity in the safest manner possible, which is very different in his previous

project experiences elsewhere. Apart from that, he enjoys the project being multinational in nature where he

constantly makes many friends from other countries. In his leisure time, Doddi plays volleyball with his

Indonesian friends at the accommodation camp. As his commitment to safety, Doddi will always intervene

any unsafe acts observed among his working partners, especially on PPE and work procedures. He values the

JGC Trainings which are being conducted, as an opportunity for him to gain more knowledge. He has attended

many of the sessions and aims to complete them all. Doddi also is a part of the Train 9 Environmental

Management Unit. He currently handles the coordination of supplying sufficient drinking water to all SPC

working areas. Doddi's message to everyone is that we have to respect the barricade system at our work sides

BIO KARIER

Menurut beliau lagi, 5 tahun terawal sewaktu mula berkhidmat

dengan JGC, beliau banyak menimba pengalaman berkenaan

pengurusan data yang mana amat berguna di dalam karier beliau

pada masa ini. Pada tahun 1999, karier beliau berubah arah dari

seorang jurutera IT kepada seorang jurutera pembinaan.

Selepas itu, beliau ditugaskan di dalam Projek Train 9 bermula

dari proses terawal sehingga kini ke proses pembinaan.

ncik Kitagawa merupakan Pengurus Am Binaan JGC untuk EProjek Train 9. Beliau dilahirkan di Jepun pada 1970 dan

berusia 45 tahun. Beliau mula menyertai Train 9 pada Januari ncik Kitagawa tiba di pejabat setiap hari seawal jam 6.30 2013 dan tiba di Bintulu bersama Encik Tanaka dan Encik Veallu Epagi. Beliau terus akan pergi ke kawasan tapak pembinaan pada 20 Mac 2013. Tidak lama kemudian, beliau menghadiri untuk menyapa dan mengucapkan selamat pagi kepada warga mesyuarat 'kick-off' bersama MLNG dan PL9SB pada 22 Mac pekerja. pengurus projek di Tokoyoma dan seterusnya di Train 9.
