TRADITIONS OF ENGLAND.

Page 2: Traditions of england

Traditions of England are the three pillars on which the Earth rests! Some aspects of British life are treated with special respect.

Construction of your own home and garden is the most common hobby in England. All their free time the English give to the improvement and further beautification of the house (the same happens with the car) and the garden under the windows of the living room.

Next tradition is love for animals. The English love their cats and dogs, almost every house holds pets. It seems that they love animals more than their own children, forgiving them such tricks, for which the children would be properly punished.

5 o'clock tea. On the table there is tea, milk or cream, sugar, bread and butter, cakes and jam. Friends and visitors are often present at tea.

British entertainments are also traditional. National sports are considered to be golf, cricket, and tennis, polo, fishing and hunting foxes. Cricket for England is more than a game. The British play it every Sunday. If you really want to win their trust, try to learn the rules of cricket.

It is a wonderful tradition to give a good education to children. Private boarding schools are very popular among wealthy people.
