a) Highly detailed explanations (figures, stats, graphs).b) As a reference in case the audience forget something after class.

DISADVANTAGES

a) Too much information on the handouts will distract the audience from focussing (too engrossed).

b) Expensive to print in bulk.c) Presentation become boring.

i) Before Presentation : If you want your students to take notes.ii) After Presentation : If you want the audience to concentrate because they might get distracted by the handouts.
