As a marketing and social media expert, Ellie knows what people respond to. She suggested three changes: a photo of one of their meetings, mini profiles and photos of some of their members, and summaries of their meetings. We thought that Ellie's recommendations were a great marketing concept and worked with her to redesign the first phase of the TSEA New England Chapter's [1] new webpage which was launched on April 27, 2011. Several weeks ago, we talked to TSEA New England Chapter member Ellie Cook-Venezia about what we could do with our chapter webpages to better help recruit new members. As a marketing and social media expert, Ellie knows what people respond to. She suggested three changes:

a photo of one of their meetings, mini profiles and photos of some of their members, andsummaries of their meetings.

We thought that Ellie's recommendations were a great marketing concept and worked with her to redesign the first phase of the TSEA New England Chapter's [1] new webpage which was launched on April 27, 2011. Ellie is working with some of the other New England Chapter members to add more mini profiles and hopes to add a chapter meeting summary page after their next meeting. Other chapters who are interested in a similar redesign of their chapter webpages should contact me at [email protected] [2].

"According to Margit Weisgal, CME, TSEA's President and CEO,  "Chapter leaders like Ellie Cook-Venezia keep TSEA fresh and relevant to the exhibit managers of today.  We value input like hers to the Association."
