We retreat from Daylight Savings Time, and fall back 1 hour beginning at 2:00 a.m. Sunday November 2 nd . Last Wednesday’s Board Workshop on the status of the Town’s website was rescheduled (San Francisco Giants!!!!) and will take place at 6:00 pm before the regular meeting of the Board. Today Town staff and Veolia staff participated in a “Hell’s Kitchen” style Cook-Off challenge at the Community Center for Halloween. We had 5 teams of 4 contestants each, and the food was great! The winning team consisted of Dan, Dina, Estevan and Sue. Here’s the winning team!

Don’t forget to turn back your clocks before you go to bed tomorrow night! We retreat

from Daylight Savings Time, and fall back 1 hour beginning at 2:00 a.m. Sunday November 2nd.

Last Wednesday’s Board Workshop on the status of the Town’s website was rescheduled (San Francisco Giants!!!!) and will take place at 6:00 pm before the regular meeting of the Board.

Today Town staff and Veolia staff participated in a “Hell’s Kitchen” style Cook-Off challenge at the Community Center for Halloween. We had 5 teams of 4 contestants each, and the food was great! The winning team consisted of Dan, Dina, Estevan and Sue. Here’s the winning team!

Water and Wastewater Services

The pumps and motors for Well 7 were installed this week. The project is moving along…

Lift Station F is now complete, as PG&E finished the electrical connections late last week. We are working on an odor issue, and I met on site today with both Veolia and Herwit Engineering to make modifications to address them.

Parks, Landscape and Recreation Services

Yesterday while I was at the Community Center assisting Director Wiesen with trees for the

“Festival of Trees” event that starts next week (See attached flyer), there was a lot going on, as noted in the photos below. The first couple are the newly resurfaced tennis courts, and the Dog Park clean-up:

Also taking place, were three classes for kids. The first was soccer, then tennis, then arts and crafts. I want to note that all of these classes were taking place concurrently.

Important Dates Upcoming important dates are as follows:

Election Day – Tuesday, November 4, 2014, All Day (Community Center is a polling location)

Special Meeting of the Board – Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

1st Annual Festival of TreesPlease stop by the Community Center beginning Monday, November 3 and

enjoy the many specialty themed-Christmas Trees and Holiday Wreaths.

These special trees will be on display through November 15, when they will be auctioned off for charity at a community open house, open to everyone,

free of charge, all starting at 5:00 pm.

Don’t be a Scrooge, head on over to the Community Center and get into the holiday spirit by purchasing one of these beautiful trees that would look

great in any home or office!

Santa will also be on hand, taking Christmas wishes and posing for photos with children of all ages.
