    Yeonji Park7GAs a rest space with natural and formative beauty, including an artificial lake, Yeonji Park is a popularplace that not only residents, but also tourists visit.

    Former President Roh Moo-hyeon Birth place3CPresident Roh Moo-Hyeon was born as the youngest childamong 3 sons and 2 daughters of Mr. Roh Pan-Seok, whowas a farmer, and Ms. Lee Soon-Rye, in the Bonghavillage, Bonsan-ri, Jinyoung-eup. He lived in the thatchedcottage of about 66m2 until he was 7 years old. He tookoffice as the 16th president on February 25, 2003 andcompleted his term on February 24, 2008. The house waspurchased by an acquaintance of the President since he leftoffice and donated to Gimhae City and the city restored toits original form of a traditional thatched cottage.

    Bonghwasan (Mt.) Sajabawi (Lion Rock)

    Eunhasa(Temp.)10FIts other name is Seorimsa. It is said that Buddhist Priest Jangyu, elder brother of the queen of Garakcountry, built the temple when introducing Buddhism from India. This temple has a history of some 1,900years and is one of the oldest temples in our country. The broken pieces of earthernware scatteredwithin the temple are presumed to be of the age of the Three Countries, but the figure of the clean andelegant temple, which does not hint of any trace of time and tide, looks like washing heart of visitors.

It will offer visitors rest,relaxation and recreation and helpthem learn about the Gaya lifestyle,history and customs in a naturalmanner through exhibitions,performances and experiences.

    Sanhaejeong11GIt is the place where Nammyeong Jo Sik, agreat scholar of Confucianism, devoted himselfto studies for about 30 years. In the 4th year ofKing Seon Jo of the Joseon dynasty, Yang Sa-Jun, a deputy delegate, started to construct thememorial hall for Confucian services, but theconstruction was completed in the 1st year ofGwanghaegun (1609) because of the haltduring the Japanese Invasion.

    Sineosan(Mt.) (630m)10FEven today the serene yet awe-inspiringlandscape of Sineosan (Mt.) carefully preservesthe traditional atmosphere of the village. Sineo-san (Mt.), meaning 'heavenly fish', provides theperfect place for a family outing, with itsForest-scent Bathing Park and Cloud Bridge.

    It stands high between Sangdong-myeong andSangrim-myeon in Gimhae, looking down into theNakdong river. Mucheoksan (Mt.) has a smoothshape of a mountain ridge over all, but peculiarrock peaks stand closely on the northwest slope,allowing mountaineers to feel the thrill of hiking.

    Buncheong Ceramics Center2GAs the Koreas first Buncheong ceramicscenter, it is shaped like a Koreantraditional tea bowl. Visitors can see theorigin and type of Buncheong ceramicsand its manufacturing processes andtechniques. The 2nd floor showcaseswork by local potters.

    Hanok(Traditional Korean-style House) Experience Center8HGimhae, the origin of Gaya culture, has lots of cultural remainsand relics here and there. It is emerging as a leading tourist citybased on its own history and culture.     Royal Tomb of King Suro8HAs one of the symbolic relics of Gimhae, the tomb of King Suro, the founder of the Garak Kingdom is also called 'Napreung.' King Suro was born at'Gujibong' on March 3, 42 A.D. of the lunar calendar, was crowned on March 15 to found the Garak Kingdon, and died on March 20, 199 A.D. This isthe place where he was entombed. Visitors visit the round grave mound with dignity after passing through the front gate of Napreung engraved withtwo colored fish which imply the sea god of the Ayutah Kingdom in India, the home of Queen Suro - Historic Site No. 73 -

    Sungseongjeon Ritel (Provincial Intangible Cultural Asset No. 11)Sungseonjeon is a royal palace where ancestral tablets and incense fires for King Suro and Queen Suro are enshrinedand serviced. The great rite of Sungseonjeon is held annually on March 15 and September 15 of the lunar calendar, inspring and autumn, respectively, and more than 10,000 people, including those from the Gimhae Kim, Gimhae Hur andIncheon Lee families, and Confucian scholars around the nation participate in the event.

It was repaired in the 15th year of KingKojong of the Joseon dynasty and turned into whatit is today.     Gujibong8G (Historic Site No. 429) This is the place from which the Gaya culture started,with the myth that in 42 A.D. , 6 golden eggs in agold box came down from heaven and the foundersof the 6 Gaya Kingdoms, including King Suro, cameout of the eggs. In addition, 'Gujiga,' one of theimportant epic poems of Korean literature, stillremains there. Because of its significance, it becamea historical site on March 7, 2001. From the shape ofa turtle head, it was originally called 'Gusubong.'

    This is a major shell mound of the Gaya Period and the largest residential site of Geumgwan Gaya found to date. Along with the shell mound in Hoehyeon-ri,which was discovered in 1907, it was designated as Historic Site No. 2. The port and village from the Gaya period have been restored.

    Bunsanseong9GLocated in Bunseongsan (Mt.) in the center of Gimhae city, it was constructed by ParkWi, a deputy delegate, to guard against Japanese invaders in the 3rd year of KingWoo of the Goryeo dynasty (1377) and was re-built in the 8th year of King Go Jong ofthe Joseon dynasty (1871) after its collapse during the Japanese Invasion (1592). Fromthe construction method of the foundation, it is estimated to have been built for the firsttime in the Gaya period. There are Haeeunsa (a temple) founded by Queen Suro andJangyu-hwasang when they came to the Garak Kingdom, Chungeuigak (a monumenthouse) and Bongsudae (a beacon mound) in Bunseongsan (Mt.) in the area.

    Mae Buddha Statue of Choseondae10HThis is a Buddha statue engraved on a rock surface inChoseondae using shallow lines. A legend says that KingGeodeung, the 2nd king of the Garak Kingdom, invited ahermit from Chiljeomsan(Mt) and enjoyed the Korean harpand the game of go. It is also called the portrait of KingGeodeung. However, compared to the body, the head istoo big and the sculpture is very simple. Judging from thesculpture style, it is estimated to be an Amita Maaebul ofthe Goryeo Period. At 5.1m high and 2.5m wide at theshoulder area, it is the largest Buddha statue in Gimhae.
