Al-Hambra

To entering the Al-Hambra is not easy, because this place is overflow by the tourist.

People that come to this place is about 4.600 people per day. So, you must hurry to

buy the entry ticket from late at night, in the ticket box or in Bilbao Vizcaya Bank but

you must give some money, but you can save your time and your energy. To reached

the palace, there is bus that inscribed with Al- Hambra in Plaza Nueva.

The word Al-Hambra, is come from the Arab language alqala hamra ( the red

palace), actually it is a fortress that build in the ninth century then the Nasrid Dynasty

changed it into a palace around the thirteenth century and the fourteenth century.

In the main place of this building, Casa Real, is found the beautiful of the Muslim

art decoration. The walls is fuelled by the calligraphy carved object. Half of the

plafond is made from the wooden carved, meanwhile the other plafond is stucco that

adorned with a little star that look like stalagmite.

In the Mudejar architecture concept (concept of art that sprout up in Spain by the

Arabs), water is used as the element of art. Almost of the room have fountain in the

middle with a little ditch that flow to the big pool in the middle of the patio. sound of

water flowing in a small stream is peacefully.

It is like a concept of mosque that always open and light. This Muslim

characteristic that we can see in every single of this palace. Every site in the palace is

always surrounding the patio that consist garden, fountain, or pool it is guarantee to

make a fresh air and light.

In the night, after we had saw whole of the red palace we can relaxing while

enjoying tablao or flamenco dancing entertainment. There is a lot Pena (Flamenco

club) that offer you with this attraction. A long the street to Al-Hambra, there is a lotof bar that located inside cave, as example Gipsi Sacromonte Cave that popular with

their flamenco performance.

You can go PicnicIt is located in 340 acre land-a big size-cypress lakes resort have many picnic

location you can ask a help from the resort employee to arrange your picnicappropriate with your fund and the season.

There is a lot of golf player who have picnic while they enjoy their lunch in the

ninth hole. If the weather is possible, picnic while the sunset is very romantic. It is

good for you who have plan to give someone a surprise (and even a diamond ring).

Another alternative is picnic in the room. With beautiful scenery from the balcony,

and it is more private and not to be worried being hit by the golf ball !

calorie, I worn my sport cloth then went to the walking track.

I have just know this resort have their own grape plantation, even thought it wassmall. It is located near the eleventh hole. Grapes is being send to the wine factory

Brokenwood, located near the plantation, to process. Then, the product that have

already finished called 11th hole Chardonnay and served in the hotel.

The beautiful environment, and perfect service and wine that made fresh from the

fruit what else ?

Morpeth is located in the side of hunter river (about 40 minutes far from the grape

plantation), Morpeth is a beautiful city. Before you haunt to the antiques shop or the

handy craft store, you must try the blueberries muffin in Maggie Gs caf (129

swain street, tel 4933-2477).Morpeth is a place for the uneven festival, like honey festival (for 4 days consist of

tasting honey, cooked and painting with the bee wax). Novelty teapot festival

(showed 3524 teapot from all the countries in australia) Fiery food festival, Mug

festival, and the biggest is the Morpeth jazz festival that held for two days in may.

Corrida,compete between ox versus human

Now Corrida is not always found in Spain. Tradition that has beensources in Mediterranean is started in Nimes in 1863. At the firsttime there is no reaction from the Nimes people but slowly thisattraction become one of event that important for the Nimes people.The number ofAfisionados (devotee) is increase.

Watch corrida in the Rome arena is so excited, especially inpaseotime (opening ceremony) in which we can see matador with theirfancy cloth out and introduce them self. But in other hand, watchingcorida is very strain, especially if the ox ram into or throw thematador body with his horns.

So, if matador can played with energetic with his mulata (red

cloth) till his foe is dizzy and his ram will not precise till the end offaena (the end of fight), So crowd and applause will reverberate inthe whole arena.

After the ox is dizzy, is time for thepicadorto take-over the show.This horseman is have a duty to stab the ox body with three pair ofBanderrillos (prick) in order to make the ox is more weakness. Andthen is come to estocado time (killed the ox, the last step. With aspecial sword, the matador must stab the ox head fast andaccurately.

Even thought corrida is very popular, it not mean this attraction isnot free from criticize. The animal lover is gaze directly to thisshow. But, like an wise word dog is bark column is still passed but

till now corrida is still held. So, because it is always held periodically,matador is still exist. Even their live is not different with the white TV screen star, If they are popular, their salary can reachedthousand of dollar for only one show. Meanwhile they had alreadystruggle with this since they are young (17 years old) imagine ifthey will retired in 30 !

Guadix

To reached Guadix is only need 40 minutes from Granada with car

pass thought the mountains to the north east. Closed to this city the

scenery is so dramatic with the brownish barren mountains. Is

really a dried off and dust city.

Little city of Guadix is very famous with their inhabitants that still

live in the caves the place that they think is comfort and savety.

The concentration of the living caves is in Ermita Nueva. Do not

hope to see the living caves from the latest period, because now

there is only modern cave with a white painted wall and have

smokestack and high television antennas everywhere. In the

centre of Ermita Nueva there is a cave museum that facing with a

little church, there is also in the cave.

Is really interested to have a side walk go along this area. And you

can imagine, how cheap to build a house here. You dont need roof-

tile, wood, brick, or cement. I have try touch the mountain soil that

made the cave. Is not to hard, really. I just want to make certain

that the grave is not to close to the top, so the roof will not collapse.
