DESCRIPTIONS

Aim: To improve students’ speaking skills

Procedure: The teacher asks students to form 4 groups of 4 and to choose a country. She tells

them to imagine that they are tour guides working together for crowded groups of tourists.

Each one is expert in one aspect. They have to gather detailed information about the country

that they will introduce according to these aspects: history, architecture, cuisine, traditions.

They will present their country in the best way to attract tourists. After all of them have

presented, they will vote for the best presentation.

Suggestions: The teacher gives some sample websites that may be helpful for the students

TASK OUTPUT

Verbal Expression

After they have completed their research in a class hour, they will give presentations

and introduce their country in the classroom in the next hour. Each presentation will last about

10 minutes. The students may improve their research outcomes by using videos or visuals.

After they have all presented, the students will vote for the best presentation and the tour

guides of this country will be successful in attracting tourists.
