visual texts.– Write coherent analyses of literature in academic essays. – Analyze issues raised in literature for both discussion and

Student clearly and effectively identifies analogies, metaphors, and symbols within written and visual texts to support analysis.
The analysis is clearly and effectively presented with several connections made to the literature read. Quotations or supporting examples of culture, theme, or characterization are distinctly present.Student clearly and effectively analyzes the problem or issue; provides the best possible solutions or conclusions to the problem or issue; presents, assesses and/or analyzes rich and convincing supporting data/evidence.
Explores the content in great depth, indicating intense interest in the subject; always uses appropriate resources and MLA formatting.
The content is clearly written, with no spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors.
Explain how your visuals (as applicable) contribute to your analysis.
Presentation Skills: (50 points) Does the presenter use effective gestures, posture and eye contact? Is his/her voice clear; can we hear what the presenter is saying?
