A It is the goal of Pender County Schools to work collaboratively to
prioritize community risk factors, to review the needs of juveniles
in the county who are at risk of delinquency (or who have been
adjudicated, undisciplined or delinquent), and to assist with
increasing public awareness of the causes of delinquency and
strategies to reduce the problem. Community Collaborative and
partnership meetings are formed to assist with the development of
strategies to intervene, respond to and treat the needs of juveniles
at risk of delinquency. In addition, the agencies support Pender
County Schools to address attendance issues, reduce dropout rates
and transition students involved in the court system back into the
school setting. Law enforcement agencies also provide
