Get Creative! The best way to make your fundraising a success is to find creative ways to engage friends, family, colleagues and even the local community!
Breese Adventures 07525 625375 www.breeseadventures.co.uk [email protected]
The first thing you need to do is make it as easy as possible for supporters to donate to your fundraising campaign. The best way to do this is by.. SETTING UP A FUNDRAISING PAGE
The suggested fundraising amounts are:
£400 (ABF The Soldiers’ Charity)*
£250 (All other charities)
At the back of this Fundraising Pack you will find a list of our Partner Charities.
Please select the charity you registered to support and follow the link to their JustGiving account.
Click on ‘Fundraise for us’ then ‘Taking part in an event ‘ and the Snowdonia Challenge should be listed.
From there you will be able to set up your own fundraising page.
*If you are joining ABF The Soldiers’ Charity team your accommodation for 4 nights and food will be included. The charity will be in touch about this once you set up your fundraising page.
2. GAINING SUPPORT
Posters & Flyers
If you are organising a Fundraising Event your chosen charity may be able to provide you with posters for you to fill in your own details, particularly if you are fundraising around one of their awareness raising days. You may decide to print your own posters and flyers, or you could talk to a local printer (who may do them at a reduced rate). You will need to get permission from your charity to use their logo and they may send you guidelines on how it should be used. You should also include the Registered Charity Number if they have one.
Posters and flyers can then be displayed at your place of work, in local shops and community buildings where groups meet. You can also ask local schools, universities and other businesses.
Ask your friends and family if they can distribute a few for you too.
Sponsor Forms
Some people will still prefer to use a printed sponsor form. If you have selected a partner
charity we can provide you with these on behalf of your charity.
Gift Aid
Your (registered) charity can claim a huge 25% extra on your fundraising through Gift Aid, so please ask your supporters to complete these
details if they apply
Company Support
Contact companies local to you who might help by donating a prize which you can then raffle or auction off. This could be used as an incentive for your sponsors to win a prize in a monthly raffle.
Some of the most popular businesses to donate prizes are:
Restaurants Hair and beauty salonsGyms Supermarkets
If you know any small independent businesses why not ask them if they want to partner with you in putting together a prize.
Be sure to thank your sponsors in person and through your Social Media!
Local Media
If you have a news worthy story we can provide you with a draft Press Release.
Think about contacting:
Newspapers Radio Stations
Local Magazines Free PublicationsHospital Radio Universities

SOCIAL MEDIA Social Media channels are a great, free way to promote your fundraising. There are loads out there and you probably have your favourites, but these are the ones we use.
Twitter Make sure you know what your charity @twittername is (partner charity details below) and include them in any tweets.
Don’t forget to use #hashtags - particularly ones such as #charity and #fundraising
There are lost of accounts on twitter who share charity news such as @charityteamuk so make sure they know about it too!
Facebook You could set up your own Facebook page or ‘event’ to share news and photos. Add a link to your fundraising page so people can donate. Ask your friends to share your page/event and update it with news and progress reports (training and fundraising).
#Hashtags also work on Facebook!
Instagram Great for sharing photos and adding lots of #hashtags!
LinkedIn LinkedIn is a more ‘professional’ environment but perhaps you could use this to raise awareness of your fundraising and make contact with local businesses or sponsors
YouTube Perfect for sharing videos of your adventures!
These are our social media accounts - don't forget to tag us so we can share your posts!
Facebook @BreeseAdventures Facebook event page

YouTube Breese Adventures
#hashtags make it easier for users to find messages with a specific theme or content. Searching for that hashtag will yield each message that has been tagged with it. A hashtag archive is consequently collected into a single stream under the same hashtag. (Wikipedia)
