You are immersed in seawater that envelops your body, it embraces and cradles it.

Salt caresses your skin, cleanses it leaving a pleasant feeling, the sign that your body is

refreshed, and skin and mind are relaxed.

This is what Thalassotherapy is about: a unique experience of relaxation, merging with

the sea and its rich natural ingredients and elements.

Thalassotherapy is an ancient and effective method of relaxation and care that uses

the combined action of all the resources of the marine environment. In addition to sea

water, it exploits the beneficial synergical action of theclimate, algae, sand mud and the

minerals contained in the sea water.

Sea water contains a variety of mineral salts and trace elements of fundamental

importance for the human organism and has several properties including a revitalizing,

cleansing and antibacterial action.

The beneficial virtues of sea water are known since ancient times (Egyptians, Greeks,

Romans) and are enhanced by the most advanced hydrothermal techniques available for

our guests.

A properly prepared bath, at the correct temperature, enables and promotes the

osmotic exchange between the marine environment and the human body so that the

precious marine elements, filtered through the skin, are absorbed by the blood

vessels and the toxins expelled from our system. Therapeutic baths also increase

muscle tone and promote post traumatic rehabilitation.

The sea climate, saturated with negative ions, coupled with an adequate exposure to

the sun causes a series of positive effects on metabolism and respiration and has a

Algae, after going through specific processing, have a moisturizing and re-

The Emotional pool (35 °C) where the program ends with the final cuddle. In this small

cave you can naturally float and relax while listening to the underwater background

music.

To complete this relaxing itinerary we also provide for 60 minutes:

The Finnish Sauna, a hot and dry air bath which has beneficial and therapeutic

properties. Known and appreciated throughout the world, Sauna is a proper cleansing of

the entire body. Through perspiration your body will eliminate toxins and the skin will

look brighter and firmer. High temperatures also help relax the muscles, strengthen the

immune system and stimulate metabolism and blood circulation.

The Hammam is a pleasant and peaceful place for relaxation known and practiced since

antiquity. According to the Egyptians, Greeks and Roman a steam bath revitalizes and

regenerates not only the body but also the spirit. The typical humidity of the Hammam

favors the drainage of the liquids and the elimination of toxins, and exerts an

invigorating and relaxing effect on the nervous system, reducing stress.

The Main Pool (29°C) is designed to carry out a soft muscular awakening in sea water

and is ideal for a perfect preparation of the initial program. We invite you to start by

walking around the perimeter and doing exercises with the help of the underwater

hydro-bike.

The two pools of the Kneipp Program (18°C and 32°C), walking slowly along a water

path at different temperatures, you carry out a "vascular gymnastics" with tonic effects

amplified by the presence of side water jets. The presence of steps and the sea-stone

floor produces an effective and pleasant foot massage that stimulates the venous

circulation.

The Waterfall Hydro-Massage pool (32°C) with several water jets in different positions

activates localized zones of the body, favoring a toning and reactivating action of the

microcirculation.

Counter-Current Swimming pool(33°C) where you can choose to walk or swim against a

Einstein's discoveries on the decomposition of light and on energy beams confirmed

the theory of chromotherapy. All matter, including the human body, is composed of

atoms or atomic fields which vibrate according to certain wavelengths.

The therapeutic effect of color on the human body is related to the oscillating nature

of our cells: the discomfort or illness, are nothing more than a disharmony of cell

vibratory rate on which colors have an harmonizing power.

Chromotherapy may be used alone or to enhance the effect of other treatments.

Treatment performed with vaporized sea water. The nebulization of the sea water

elements, clears the respiratory tract and is particularly indicated for chronic

inflammations of the upper and lower airways and allergies.

Our thalassotherapic treatments take advantage of the beneficial properties of algae

from the coast of Brittany. The Sea Tangle is rich in trace elements that revitalize the

skin and stimulates metabolism, contributing also to eliminating toxins and favoring fat

combustion. Fucus vesiculosus drains and stimulates water elimination from tissues.

Spirulina platensis is rich in proteins and gives compactness and elasticity to the skin.

Boue marine with its mineral salts and specific trace elements, stimulates cellular

exchanges and toxin elimination. Chondrus crispus, a red alga, is particularly indicated

for purifying and decongesting. Ulva lactuca, thanks to its high concentration of calcium

We recommend to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your appointment.

Arriving late means decreasing the time of your treatment which will end up at the

scheduled time to allow the punctuality of the following appointment.

CANCELLING A TREATMENT

Each treatment can be cancelled by 8 p.m. of the previous day.

Otherwise you will be charged with the full amount.

CHOOSING A THERAPIST

When booking, feel free to express your preference for a male or female therapist. Our staff is trained

to ensure your privacy and your comfort at all times.

RELAX

The Spa is a place of peace and relaxation. Therefore we ask our guests to turn their

mobile phones and pagers off. The Spa Management has the right to refuse access or

send out those who disturb other guests with their behavior or clothing.

TOWELS AND BATHROBES

Guests are asked to enter the Spa Hotel wearing their swimsuits, bathrobe and slippers. The Spa

provides guests who are not staying at the Hotel the Spa Kit with bathrobes and towels, whereas

swimsuits, slippers and bathing cap are personal.

POLICIES

CHILDREN

Children over 3 can enter the spa under the supervision of an adult, in the morning from 9 to 11 a.m.

and in the afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m.

Children under 14 cannot enter the Sauna and the Turkish bath.

Children under 18 can enter all spa facilities only if accompanied by an adult.

VALUABLES

The Management is not responsible for the loss of money or valuables taken into the spa.

In the changing rooms lockers are automatic, but we recommend not to wear or carry valuables during

your stay at the spa.

HEALTH

When booking, please inform our reception about your physical conditions, possible allergies or

anything that could affect the choice of your treatment.

Please take note of the following possible counter-indications related to marine therapies:

acute diseases, iodine allergy, thyroid disorders, severe hypotension, dermatological lesions (open

sores, wounds), and arterial ailments (recent strokes, heart disease, poorly controlled hypertension),

malignant neoplastic disease, chemotherapy treatments performed within the past six months.

PREGNANCY Specific treatments have been created to meet the needs of expecting mothers and lactating women.

Tombolo Thalasso Resort Staff is able to choose with you the most suitable treatment for this special

period.

NO SMOKING

In order to ensure a healthy environment for our guests, smoking is forbidden in all the Spa areas.

SHAVING

Shaving or waxing immediately before treatments is not recommended. We suggest to do it at least 2

hours before the appointment.

SUN

Before sunbathing before or after a treatment, we suggest to ask your doctor or therapist if there are

any contraindications.

YOUR HOME SPA

All the products used during your treatments can be purchased at the Spa Reception in order to

continue at home the experience began at the Spa and enjoy its benefits as long as possible.

VOUCHERS

These are the perfect gift for someone special. They are valid for all treatments, products, and daily

programs of our Spa and are not refundable.
