Tom who, Gerald?
Tom Foley training for
the big one!
He’s not Tom Cruise, Hilda!
How Shall We Survive Without Tony?
Our Secretary, Tony Fulton, is scheduled for some
medical procedure which will keep him out of action for
awhile. Fear not people! A number of applicants have
rolled in to take over during Tony’s absence. We have some
photos of those who have applied.... Take your pick!
The Ladies
Secretary, Pam Cooper, was prominent in the photos taken at
the Official Opening Day of CBC. She obviously enjoys her
bowls. Pam keeps ‘Drawshot’ updated with news from the
ladies and even when there’s no news she still sends an
email. (Keep ‘em coming, Pam)
What’s Happening at Other Bowls Clubs
Buckingham is going backwards according to the Mercury. Well not
really as they are celebrating 100 years since ladies joined the Club.

Otago, dress up for the occasion at Buckingham Bowls Club, New
Town. Picture: Richard Jupe Source: Mercury
Out Bowling!
I love bowlers
Old fashion but Dependable!
He’s out bowling!
The wives and partners of our
male bowlers have objected to
all the applicants in the left
hand column and recommend
one of these most suitable
temps.
I’ll give ‘em bowlin’, if they tries anything!
Oldest Streaker:
It was reported that at an unnamed Bowls Club in South Wales a
streaker invaded the green. It was during a Sunday social game being
enjoyed by male and female bowlers. The streaker was named as
Cranbourne Happyfoot, aged 92, who came from the nearby retire-
ment home. Apparently Cranbourne had just finished his shower and
got confused and lost his way ending up on the green.
MIDWEEK 2013-2014 We barely have enough to be able to field 1 1/2
sides each week. If one or two are unavailable
we will be in trouble. So here is an idea of how
to solve that problem.
We want names to go onto an emergency list of
Males who may not want to play Midweek
every week but only when we are really short and ladies
in Division 3 who would be able to fill in if required.
That list will be on the board from Monday 30/9/13. Please
help if you can.
