FROM FATHER TOM’S DESK Welcome Fr. Jim Van Dorn! Our Parish Mission begins with Fr. Jim preaching at weekend Masses and will continue with presentations every night Sunday through Wednesday. A parish mission provides an opportunity for the renewal of the whole parish. We hope you will join us for as many nights as you can and invite friends to join you.

Fr. Jim will also be here for Mass at 8:00 a.m. Monday through Wednesday with coffee and conversation following Mass. Please note that there will be a Tuesday morning Mass as well as a Mass Tuesday evening at the usual 6:00 p.m. time. Thanks to Deacon Terry and all involved in
planning our mission. Our 40 Hours devotion follows the mission running from 6:00 p.m. Mass on Thursday, March 21st through a special 10:00 a.m. Mass on Saturday the 23rd. Our signup sheet is coming along, but we still need people to help cover every hour of the day and night. I hope every
parishioner will stop by to pray at some point during that time. Pray for a fruitful Lent for all of us that we may hear the Lord’s call to turn away from sin and act upon that call. Pray for many in our midst who are sick or suffering or need Jesus’ healing in any way. Pray for those who will receive the Sacraments of the Church during the Easter season: our RCIA candidates, our First Communicants, and our youth who will be confirmed on Divine Mercy Sunday. Parish Survey: We’ve had close to 300 parishioners complete our 2019 parish survey. The Parish Pastoral Council and I hope you will add your voice as we look to the future. Remember April 1st is the deadline for completing, and you can use the online link or stop by the parish office. Or go to this link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/MWYCSVQ

We invite parishioners to take the name of one or two teen(s) that you commit to pray for ardently in the month leading up to their Confirmation on Sat., April 28th. This way, each one of our teens will be brought before the throne of the Lord in prayer by name! Names can be found in a basket in the narthex. Prayer partners are also invited to write a letter or note to their candidate giving them encouragement and telling them of your spiritual support which will be given to the candidate on the day of their Confirmation.
