Từ trong đáp án lặp lại từ trong câu hỏi

• E.g:

How would you like your coffee?

a. Without cream and sugar.

b. I would like to drink some tea instead.

c. Near the copy machine.

=> Loại trừ B & C; A is the correct answer.




WH-Questions are answered with Yes/No

Câu hỏi với từ để hỏi mà trả lời bằng Yes/No

• E.g:

How much does it cost to park here?

a. Go straight and turn left.

b. Yes, in front of the gate.

c. Four dollars per hour.

=> Loại trừ đáp án “B” vì bắt đầu Yes cho câu hỏi “How much”




Tenses – Các thì trong tiếng Anh • E.g:

1. You like Italian food, don’t you?

a. Yes, a lot.

b. He didn’t stay here.

c. Near the kitchen.

Câu B loại trừ vì sai thì, câu C là câu trả lời cho “Where”. Vậy ta chọn A.

2. The food is great today, isn’t it?

a. They are coming tomorrow.

b. You don’t think it’s a little greasy?

c. No, it doesn’t.

Câu A loại trừ vì sai thời gian, câu C loại trừ vì “doesn’t” vs “isn’t”. Vậy câu B đúng.




Multi-meaning words

Từ đa nghĩa • E.g:

1. Do I have to sign these two pages? (ký tên)

- The sign said to help yourself. (biển hiệu)

- There is no sign of financial trouble. (dấu hiệu)

2. Who is in charge of the event? (phụ trách)

- I charged my cell phone. (sạc pin)

- They charged $100. (tính phí)

Multi-meaning words

Từ đa nghĩa 3. Who left the money on the desk? (đặt, để)

- Everyone left after you did. (đi khỏi)

- Twenty minutes left. (còn lại)

- Turn left. (trái)

4. You are right. (đúng)

- Turn right. (phải)

- Right here. (ngay đây, tại đây)

- The rights of the workers. (quyền)

Pronouns

Đại từ

• E.g:

1. Is your mother a banker?

No, he is a dentist.

Câu này sai vì chủ ngữ là “mẹ”, câu trả lời “ông ấy” là sai. Học viên ít để ý phần này.

2. Are you going to study abroad this year?

Yes, she is going in December.

Câu hỏi chủ ngữ là “you” thì trả lời là “I” hoặc “we” chứ!

+ It was not a great performance, was it? (Buổi biểu diễn đó không hay héng)

- No, It wasn’t. (uhm, không hay)

NEGATIVE QUESTIONS
