5. How are distance classes delivered? Distance learning is the 'traditional' self-study programme, also known as a 'correspondence course'.

Materials and learning resources will be available on www.eiu.ac upon programme enrollment.

6. How should I apply? Step 1: Login to www.eiu.ac and register.

Step 2: Select the programme in which you want to enroll.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button on the top right corner, fill and submit the application form.

Step 4: The Committee of Admissions will review your applications and send you the payment details if

your application is selected.

Admission Process for Degree programmes: 1.) Your admission is not complete without the necessary supporting documentations that must be

submitted to the EIU Academic Team for review.

2.) Upon verification of your documents, you will receive your Acceptance Letter.

3.) Once you accept the offer, the corresponding invoice shall be created and sent to you.

4.) You must then settle your fees as per the deadline.

1. Practical English for Professional Success - Learners should possess a high level of motivation and self-discipline - Learners should be age 12 and above - Learners must possess basic smartphone or computer operating knowledge and skills

Can it be done in a single application? Yes, you can apply for more than one programme however you will have to send different

Academic counsellors are engaged as a link between learners and EIU. An academic counsellor gives

The Learning Management System is also known as LMS. The Learning Management System of EIU-

4. Learning Support Centres

Learning Centers can be viewed as the education provider’s physical and social ‘Point of Presence’

with the distance learner. As such, learners should expect to find an array of functions and services

supporting their distance education activities offered at or facilitated through the Learning Center.

5. Chat

To make contact between students and EIU simpler, we have enabled a Whatsapp chat option

on the website through which you can contact our support centre 24/7 to clarify your doubts

about anything pertaining to EIU.

6. Webinars

A web-based seminar or webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or a seminar conducted over

the internet using video conferencing software. During which EIU uses conferencing equipment and

multimedia to connect to students interactively, including voice communications, live videos, online

presentations, text chats and more.

7. Social Media

Social media has become a significant part of everyone’s life irrespective of age, demography and

gender. EIU regularly tries to keep in touch with its students through social media such as LinkedIn,

Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to ensure that the students are updated with changes and

improvements that are taking place at the programme/university.

Students will be able to find the social media pages on the website home screen through which

they can join/connect and share EIU’s page with their social circle.

8. Seminars / Workshops at Paris & Bangkok

EIU hosts seminars/workshops for students at their Paris and Bangkok centres, the schedule for

which will be released on the website. These sessions are designed to ensure that the students who

prefer classroom sessions are provided with necessary guidance for the programmes.

Seminars give students an intensive exposure to a topic through these seminars/workshops and

discussions led by multiple experts. Seminars are an ideal opportunity for people who want to study a

topic in depth. By asking questions, taking detailed notes and being prepared, students can leave the

13. When and how do I need to pay the programme fee? Currently, EIU supports 2 payment options:

1. PayPal:

PayPal is a service that allows you to pay online, send and receive money without sharing your billing

information.

2. Direct Bank Account Transfer:

Make your payment directly into our bank account. Please use your Order ID as the payment

reference. You will receive an acknowledgement from EIU confirming the payment only once the

funds have been cleared in our account.

14. Do I need to make any other payment besides Programme Fee? The soft copy of the certificate will be E-mailed to students at the end of the programme.

However, if students need the original hardcopy, it will be couriered to them. Additional fees for

courier will be charged.

15. Are there any early bird offers? No, we do not promote any kind of early bird offers.

17. Is there a capitation fee? No, there is no capitation fee. You need to pay only the fees mentioned in the prospectus.

18. How can I cancel the programme? To cancel from a programme registration, students must go to their profile on the EIU website and

click on cancel, fill out the cancellation form and submit. Once the cancellation is processed, the

students will receive an email confirming that the cancellation has been processed.

19. If I choose to cancel/withdraw my application for admission, will I

get a total refund? EIU will process the refund due to the students as soon as possible and, in any case, within 14

working days from the day on which they received the mail confirming it.

● Immediate Cancellation: If a student wishes to cancel the programme immediately after

the enrollment i.e., before accessing any of the modules, then the refund would be 75% of

the tuition fee.

● Cancellation after accessing 1 module: If a student wishes to cancel the programme after

initiating 1 module (Irrespective of whether the module is completed) then the refund

would be 50% of the tuition fee.

● Cancellation after accessing 2 modules: If a student wishes to cancel the programme

after initiating 2 modules (Irrespective of whether the module is completed) then there

would be NO refund.

22. What is the grading system and grading scheme of EIU?

Grading System: BOLOGNA PROCESS A key principle in this process is that decisions on the value of a particular award, programme of study or part thereof are the responsibility of the receiving institution or organisation.

In order to ensure the highest possible standards of credit transfer, the European International University, Paris has adopted the guidelines of the European Bologna process system based on ECTS credits. The Bologna Process is a series of ministerial meetings and agreements between European countries designed to ensure comparability in the standards and quality of higher education qualifications. Through the Bologna Accords, the process has created the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), in particular under the Lisbon Recognition Convention.

European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a standard aimed at comparing the study attainments and performances of higher education students across the European Union and other collaborating European countries. For each successfully completed study programme, ECTS credits are awarded. One academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS-credits, that are equivalent to 1,500–1,800 hours of study in all countries, respective of standard or qualification type, and is used to facilitate transfer and progression throughout the Union.

Certificates issued by the European International University, Paris have been accepted by Institutions, Business Schools, and Universities of several countries.

DEGREE PROGRAMMES: EIU-Paris follows European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS academic credits scheme). The ECTS credit system makes degree programmes and student performance more transparent and comparable all across European Union countries.

B.B.A Grading Scheme: Each BBA programme consists of 24 core modules including a final year research project module. Each of the 24 modules carry 7.5 ECTS (7.5*24 = 180 ECTS).

M.B.A. Grading Scheme: Each MBA programme consists of 8 core modules and an Action Research paper for the area of specialization. Each of the 8 modules carry 7.5 ECTS (7.5*8 = 60 ECTS) and the Action Research paper carries 30 ECTS making total ECTS for the MBA programme 90.

M.A.Ed. Grading Scheme: The M.A.Ed. programme consists of 7 core modules and an Action Research paper. Each of the 7 modules and action research paper carry 7.5 ECTS (7.5*8 = 60 ECTS) making the total ECTS for M.A.Ed. programme 60. Before the evaluation, the results are divided into two subgroups: Pass and Fail. The grading system is defined as follows:

Pass:

Higher Distinction : 90-100%

Distinction : 80-89%

First Division : 70-79%

Second Division : 60-69%

Satisfactory : 50-59%

Fail:

Unsatisfactory : 49 % and below.

23. How do I complete the exams?

Each module that you finish will have assignments to assess your knowledge, based on the score

your ECTS will be decided.
