Medical Insurance
Group Hospitalisation and Surgical
Insurance (GHSI) is compulsory for all
international and exchange students.
This policy will cover medical costs
incurred during hospitalisation. You will
also be issued a Letter of Guarantee,
which you can present on admission
to hospital in lieu of the upfront cash
payment normally levied on
international students.

It was easy to integrate into campus
life through hall events such as night
cycling food trails and on-campus
societies. I was also honoured to
have met NTU President, Prof Bertil
Andersson, during the Lunar New Year
celebrations and even participated in
the unique Singaporean tradition, Lo
Hei! Through enjoying laksa and durian,
visiting Hindu temples, and participating
in different festivities, Singapore has
enlightened me to the beauty of the
multicultural intersection of language,
religion and food. This
remarkable experience will
help to shape me into a
global citizen, scholar and
scientist.

Singapore is a very interesting country.
Despite its small size, it is filled with
means of entertainment like shopping
malls and gaming centres.
However, the most
enriching experience I’ve
had at NTU was the fun
environment and the

met. There was always something
happening on campus and there were
many clubs to join. Sport facilities
abound and cheap food is widely
available in the 14 canteens. I hope
you will have as much fun as I did.

STEP UP TO THE WORLD @ NTU IN SINGAPORE .23
You have a role to play in determining the future of Asia. The TF LEaRN @ NTU
programme provides an experiential learning opportunity for future leaders of
Asia. You will be offered a holistic educational experience with opportunities to
cultivate your leadership skills through a one-semester immersion programme
at NTU. This involves course work, community service learning and network
building in the region. You will develop a global mindset with better insight of
regional issues and cultures.
About 50 Asian undergraduate students will be offered a chance to study at
NTU with tuition and living expenses covered. More information on the programme
