Before introducing other updates, I would like to thank our predecessors for taking our Samaj to greater heights. It is an upheaval task to take our samaj to further ahead. We are hopeful, however, that with your co-operation and support, we will not only overcome this challenge but establish newer standards of service. SALAHKAR SAMITI MATTERS: Further, we would like to thank the President of the Mahajan SRI SURESHBHAI M MOTIPARA, SRI PRAVINBHAI M SHETH, Sorathi Ratna SRI VINODBHAI V VEKARIA and SRI BHARATBHAI J KATKORIA for accepting our proposal to continue as Salahkar Samiti for the current tenure of 3 years. MEMBERSHIP MATTERS: As decided in the Committee meeting that the male members above 18 years and below 60 years have to pay a membership subscription of ₹750/- for three years (OR) if you want to pay every year for 3 years it is ₹300/- per year. The subscription can be paid by cheque favouring ‘SORATHIYA VANIK SAMAJ”. Regarding the membership subscription for members above 60 years we have to pass a resolution and will be decided later, may be in SNEH SAMELAN programme. Further I request the members of the Samaj to update their mobile numbers and email ID so that in future instead of sending circulars, we can update you the activities of the Samaj by SMS and emails, thereby reducing the cost of Xerox and courier expenses. However, for conducting AGM and EGM, circulars will be sent. “KNOWLEDGE IS PROGRESS”

The objective of this initiative is to remain progressive with changing tunes through knowledge. The mission is to take our Samaj children, students and also parents to newer heights. Under this initiatives we are launching following four continuous programmes:

1. A year round quiz competition – Kaun Banega Sorathi Smart

Quiz will be setup and for the following groups: Standard 6,7, 8

Standard 9, 10

Standard 11, 12

Undergraduate and Post graduates

Adults (Both men and women)

2. Certificate programme on computing skills

A 3 to 6 months hands on program for web programming and mobile

programming (apps)

3. A study club for students

The club will help students come together to clarify doubts, exchange books,

learn specific topic.

Doubt clarification session will be done by subject matter expert (SME) from

our Gnati and outside Gnati.

4. Everyday Computing Device Use

This session will be done for all young, adults and seniors alike (especially

housewives).

The objective is to reach how to use the computers and mobiles properly,

keep them safe and secure, performance tune up, make online bill

payments, ticket bookings, taxi booking etc.,

The Registration charge for the above programmes is only ₹100/-
