    TMS v1.70.0 Update Installation Procedure 1. Backup database of previous TMS version and store in a safe location 2. Copy TMS_Setup_v1.70.0.exe file to the TMS server desktop (on Channel Partner

    Area) 3. Once complete run the TMS_Setup_v1.70.0.exe with default settings. 4. When the tmslicense file opens, save and close. 5. TMS install complete. Open Internet browser and clear cache (CTRL+F5 on IE). 6. Check flash player 24 or above is installed on the client PC and TMS server.

    Recommended TMS configuration after installation

    7. Log in to TMS webpage 8. Go to Configuration tab > Library > Ingest/Validation.

    o Change ‘Create Trusted Circle File Format’ setting to ‘All SMPTE/Interop’ 9. Go to Configuration tab > Library > Library Path.

    o Confirm that the ‘Create Trusted Circle File’ is ticked on the TMS Library1 only. Validations on the library server with trusted circle will speed up

    validation when transferring to Sony projection servers. o Tick ‘Validate’ on all library paths result is now stored in database and no

    longer requires r/w permission. TMS will indicate if content has passed validation.

    10. Apply settings and restart TMS Service.

    Rollback Procedure 1. Uninstall TMS v1.70.0 2. Reinstall TMS v1.65.1 (or previous version) 3. Restore TMS DB backup created for v1.65.1 during the v1.70.0 update.

    New Features

    Pause Cue support for SRX-R500 v1.52.1 and above In SRX-R500 series firmware v1.52.1 a pause cue was added to SPL creation, see “DCB090_ SRX-R500 v1 52 1 Release Information Single Projector” for more information.

    TMS v1.70.0 will find the pause cue in the Edit Cue Template as seen below.

    Add a new Cue and name it ‘Pause’ then use the drop down to find PlayControl:Pause for each of the SRX-R500 series auditoriums. Please note this cue is not supported by SRX-R320P.

    Support for Barco Stereoscopic Output mode (Restrictions apply, License required) To use the Barco Stereoscopic Output Mode in TMS, configure Cue Template for the Barco server auditorium with VideoOutAuto / VideoOutForce2D / VideoOutForce3D cue. Create a Blank in the SPL, and place a cue in the Blank to set the Blank as the target. When TMS transfers the SPL to Barco SMS, the cue is converted to a Stereoscopic Output Mode attribute.

    Preshow import/assignment from Unique occasionally the import will fail (500 error).

    Failed to get an internal lock by Preshow API because a background preshow merging process continues to possess the internal lock. Priority the API or user operation.

    Cannot open Library > CPL/KDM tab with 9102 error.

    An inconsistency occurred between the KDM tables of the TMS DB. Added a consistency maintain operation when the TMS service starts up.

    Fail to playback emergency SPL.

    The root cause is that the commands from the TMS were too short interval. The TMS checks the play status before the next command to fix this issue.

Improved the update operation of SPL/Pack and fixed not to delete the SPL from schedule.

    Title of SPL isn’t displayed when the SPL is failed to transfer from TMS to auditorium

    Title of SPL is added to the error: 3001 that is displayed when transferring of SPL is failed.

    DC-9406 Audit Log and Playout Report files are not output everyday

    Calculation of date is incorrect, and the output of the files is shifted one day. Fixed to output files that recorded previous day on next day.

    Schedule is deleted in the environment using Preshow workflow.

    In the environment using Preshow workflow, SPL synthesizing task is executed. This task is restarted when Pack/CPL/KDM is added or deleted, and the there is a possibility that SPL is cleared from the performance depends on the timing of restart. Changed the Preshow synthesizing task starting method not to restart, and fixed not to clear the SPL from the performance.

    Database error is recorded by deleting same schedule twice in the auditorium server

    If multiple SPLs are deleted in the short term, multiple deleting tasks are executed in background, and the tasks may delete same SPL. Changed to execute deleting task as singleton.

    SPL marked as Template can be deleted without Template privilege

    When deleting multiple SPLs, TMS deletes all SPLs without confirming the SPL is Template or not. Fixed to delete all SPLs if they are all not Template, and delete only SPLs not marked as Template if both SPLs are included.

    Error ID: 221 BAD_DATA is displayed in Error page

    When synchronizing schedule with auditorium servers, TMS incorrectly deletes the schedule that isn’t existed in auditorium server. So auditorium server responds this error as meaning of “there is such a schedule” and this error is displayed. Changed only existing schedules and fixed not to display this error.

    DC-10557

    DCP that is transferred from Doremi server to Sony server by S2S can’t be deleted from Sony server.

    In this case TMS specifies wrong DCP ID when firing delete command and the DCP can’t be deleted. Fixed to specify correct DCP ID.

    DC-10578

    Error ID: 6103 is displayed in Error page

    When loading AssetMap in DCP, TMS considers wrong file as Packing List, and if the file is very large, TMS skips the reading and this error occurs. Fixed to select Packing List in AssetMap correctly.

    DC-10600 Many “ValidateCPL” command is fired to Doremi server

    “ValidateCPL” command, that checks the playability of the CPL in the Doremi server, may be fired duplicatedly. Fixed to reduce the command firing to half.

    DC-10628 There is a possibility that DCP ingest completion delay warning can’t be

    Fixed to judge correctly whether ingest of DCP finished before schedule or not.

    Because of race condition between “DCP transfer task” and “Registration task for DCP ingest”, database have inconsistency and TMS repeatedly ingests DCP that is already ingested. Confirming ingest task has been already existed before start ingest and fixed not to execute ingest when the task has been already finished.

    Validate button in Library->CPLKDM tab can be clicked even if CPL isN7t selected

    Validate button should be enabled only when target CPL is selected. Fixed to disable the button when no CPL is selected.

    DC-11025

    Playout Report may be created as invalid format.

    TMS creates empty Playout Report file if there isn’t any playout executed, but the generated XML file is invalid in this case. Fixed not to create Playout Report file when no playout is executed.

    DC-11254

    POS file import fails because of rating violation and can’t be notified as error.

    This problem occurs if Rating verification setting in Configuration->SPL/Pack->Rating is “Do verify” or “Only display warning” and POS file has rating violation. Changed to import POS file even if rating violation exists and display warning message.

    DC-11600

    Base DCP isn’t ingested automatically when Overlay DCP is ingested.

    This happens when Base DCP has ever been ingested and the ingest is uncompleted because of canceling or error. In this case TMS confirms only file existence and marks the DCP as ingested completely. Changed to confirm CPL is valid by querying to auditorium server and re-ingest the DCP again if needed.

    DC-11769

    There is a possibility of memory shortage because the KDM table size in database is too large.

    Fixed to delete the field that maintains the large size strings to reduce KDM table size.

    DC-11926

    S2L Ingest is retried although the ingest is completed.

    This is because of the calculation copied file size when ingesting DCP by FTP from auditorium to Library. Changed to calculate the file size correctly and fixed not to ingest same DCP again.

    DC-11997 Error ID: 9186 is displayed and S2L transfer isn’t

    9186: Unexpectable error occurs because there is a mismatch between transfer information and progress

    The number of characters of the CPL title in the SPL or Pack timeline is decreased compared to the previous version of TMS

    By the intermission function in Ver. 1.60, display position of the CPL title is adjusted, so the number of characters is decreased. Fixed to display same number of characters if the CPL isn’t target of Intermission.

    When you set only 2D content as playable in “Filtering of Playable CPL” setting of Configuration->Auditorium, if the base DCP is used for both 2D and 3D, the base DCP is regarded as 3D content, so TMS don’t transfer the content. Fixed not to filter base DCP using “Filtering of Playable CPL” setting.

    DC-11238

    Many transfer than the simultaneous maximum transfer number is executed.

    If same DCP is stored multiply in Library, transfer number is decreased incorrectly when finishing the transfer. Fixed to decrease the transfer number correctly.

    DC-11545

    You can’t login TMS by increasing the KDM table size of database.

    If records for the auditorium that is not existed are found in KDM table, garbage collection of KDM is failed, the KDM table is increased, and the TMS stops by the out of memory. Fixed to execute garbage collection of KDM even if the records for unknown auditoriums are existed.

    DC-11787

    Sony SMS become very slow to operate when remaining many SPLs in SMS because TMS can’t delete unused SPLs.

    This problem occurred when Preshow function is used. There is a problem in the delete task of merged SPL by Preshow function, delete task is stopped and can’t delete the unused SPL in the SMS. Fixed not to stop delete task incorrectly by changing the delete task operation.

    Resolved Issues on Ver.1.61.0 ID Problem Description

    Schedule is duplicated in Doremi server

    There is a problem with the process of updating the schedule while the network connection with Doremi server is in an unstable state. In this state, TMS registers the same schedule without removing the existing schedule, so the schedule is duplicated. Fixed not to perform the update process of schedule in an unstable network state.

    Simplified validation (Sony Trusted Circle) function does not work correctly

    Because the format of Sony Trusted File created by TMS is incorrect, Sony Trusted File isn’t reused and revalidation is done in vain. Fixed to create Sony Trusted File in the correct format.

    If editing SPL while auditoriums are offline, SPL isn’t transferred to auditoriums after changed to online

    When editing SPL in offline, SPL is marked as “not transferrable” incorrectly, so TMS don’t resend the SPL even if changed to online. Fixed to resend SPLs edited after auditoriums are change from offline to online.

    DC-8804

    Schedule shifts if deleting the SPL that is allocated to import performance

    When allocating the SPL to performance, and Performance Start point of the SPL is set to other than the head of the SPL, real start time of the schedule is shifted by the value from head to Performance Start. On the other hand, when deleting the SPL, shifted schedule isn’t back to original schedule. Fixed to roll back schedule to original start time when deleting the SPL.

    DC-8806 Error ID:9102 and 9228 is displayed

    Error occurred because the operation of login and query of auditorium information by TMS API is incorrect. Changed to display correct error ID.

    DC-9000

    Locked content is unlocked without permission when upgrade TMS Ver.1.60.

    When upgrading TMS from Ver.1.5x to Ver.1.60, if a locked content meets a specific condition, the content is unlocked without permission. Fixed not to change the lock state when upgrading to TMS Ver.1.61.

    DC-9287

    Theater user can assign a CPL to Preshow frame without intension.

    A theater user can assign CPL to a Preshow frame part in SPL where only Preshow vendor should operatively become. In addition, CPL which a theater user appointed is played even if target Preshow frame is appointed in a performance as "No Assign". Fixed to prevent theater user from editing a Preshow frame and not to play CPL which is appointed as “No Assign”.

    DC-9349

    Ingest isn’t started if the ingest task is changed to NOW (means start now).

    The management of “the number of maximum simultaneous ingest” has problem, and the count is reached to maximum incorrectly, and the ingest doesn’t start. Fixed to manage “the number of maximum simultaneous ingest” correctly.

    DC-9364

    When transfer a SPL only using CPLs which can play in the auditorium, a dialog “Selected SPL includes CPLs that can't play in the target auditorium. Are you sure to

    If applying a SPL after editing a SPL and the synchronization of schedule between TMS and SMS (background task) is done in same time, schedule is updated incorrectly, and the schedule is shifted to wrong start time. Fixed to update schedule correctly.

    DC-9565

    When playing Intermission SPL in an auditorium, play state of other auditoriums in Status page are all frozen.

    Because the acquisition process of play state during interval of Intermission SPL is invalid, so the play state of all other auditoriums can’t be gathered. Fixed to display the correct play state.

    DC-9986 Storage capacity in Library page is incorrect

    Because the capacity calculation task in background has problem, the capacity of Library can’t be updated. Fixed to display the correct capacity.

    DC-10286

    When ingesting DCP from Library to Auditorium, DCP can’t be ingested correctly because upper case of file name is changed to lower case.

    This problem doesn't occur in normal environment, like FTP connection is stable.

    If the retry count of ingest task is increased (for example 10), there is a possibility of this issue, so please ingest the DCP not from auditorium but from Library server.

    If the DCP doesn't exist in Library, please ingest the DCP to Library from the source auditorium (S2L).

However, this initialization process is not correct, so the following items in the Configuration are updated improperly. · Check boxes for the items “Filtering of Playable CPL" are cleared · "Maximum number of DCP" becomes to 1 For this reason, it is determined that the target DCP can not be played in the auditorium, so TMS does not perform the transfer of DCP. If you have replaced the auditorium server, please correct these items of Configuration to the default value.

    If interval time of intermission SPL is short, TMS can’t observe interval of intermission from UI.

    If interval time is smaller than General->General->SMS Polling Interval (default 30 sec), intermission is finished while TMS can’t detect intermission. We’ll recommend to set interval time larger than SMS Polling Interval.

    It takes more than ten minutes until next ingest is started after previous ingest of the DCP was completed in the environment with the Doremi server.

    Before starting the ingest, TMS acquires the transfer history from Doremi server in order to obtain the current transfer state. However, if many transfer histories (such as thousands) exist in Doremi server, TMS takes a long time to get the transfer history, thus the start of next transfer is delayed. If you are using a Doremi server, and it takes more than 10 minutes to the start of the ingest, please change “Remove DCP Transfer Logs in Auditorium After “ in Configuration from 10 (default) to 1.

    If the network connection between Library and auditorium is failed when S2L transfer is being executed, the task can’t be progressed.

    When ingesting DCP from Auditorium server to Library, network is disconnected and the disconnection is continued more than 25 seconds, the ingest task is stopped even if the network connection is recovered.

    In this case, please cancel the ingest task and restart the TMS service. After that, please ingest the DCP again.

    Ingest task to Doremi server can’t be canceled, and the task is displayed as the task created by out of TMS.

    If canceling the ingest task to Doremi server just after the ingest task is started, TMS thinks the task is completed because TMS misunderstand the task state of ingest.

    Please don’t cancel the ingest task just after the ingest task is started. If you encounter this situation, please wait until the ingest task is finished or please cancel the ingest task by using Doremi UI.

    If the network connection between External Device and Library is failed when DCP copy is being executed, the task can’t be progressed.

    If the External Device or Library is located on another computer which is not executed the TMS application service, and the network is disconnected and the disconnection is continued more than 10 seconds during the DCP copy is executed, the copy task is stopped and can’t be canceled even if the network connection is recovered.

    In this case, please create another copy task, or restart the TMS service. After restart, the copy task is started again.

    When deleting DCP used by schedule, it takes long time to start re-ingest.

    DCP can't be re-ingested at soon automatically if a DCP used by schedule is deleted manually. This issue may occur if a special setting is done in TMS Configuration.

    To prevent from this issue, please set [Library->Synchronization->SMS Polling Interval for DCP] and [General->General->SMS Polling Interval] to ensure the condition below.

    If this occurs, please restart the TMS service. Simultaneous ingest number will be reset.

    Error ID: 9178 Unexpectable error is displayed.

    Because of the competition between “Preshow Assign task” and “DCP synchronization task of Library or auditoriums”, the access to database failed and this error occurs.

    Please ignore this error if Preshow workflow isn’t used. Or if you use Preshow workflow, the task is executed repeatedly (5 min), so the task will be succeeded in the next time.

    The DCP which Packing List includes the file path partially isn’t recognized.

    Files that are included in the DCP are listed in Packing List. TMS can’t recognize the DCP if the file path name is written partially in the list.

    Please request to the distributor of DCP to include path name for all assets in Packing List, or not to include path name in Packing List and to include path name in AssetMap only.

    Error dialog is displayed if auto logout occurs when applying SPL or Pack.

    If editing Pack that is used by many SPLs and applying the Pack, it takes long time for applying operation. If auto logout function is executed during displaying progress dialog that is added in Ver.1.63, “Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSession” error dialog may be displayed after login page is displayed. This is because of the problem of the module that is TMS is used internally.

    Error ID: 4009 is disappeared if S2L transfer is finished, so please wait until completion of transfer.

    SPL isn’t sent again when changing “Support HFR content” in Configuration.

    On the way of using TMS, even if “Support HFR Content” item in Configuration is changed, SPLs that have been already transferred aren't updated. Please re-transfer the SPLs manually after rebooting TMS service.

    In spite of playing content, progress on TMS / SMSC is not correct and SMSC becomes uncontrollable.

    This problem may occur when TMS, SMSC and PJT send many commands to SMS server.

    If playing status in SMSC or PJT is delayed or not displayed, and SMS communication errors are displayed in TMS error tab, please change “SMS Polling Interval” in Configuration->General to up to 60 sec from 30 sec (default).

    No. 4007 error is occurred repeatedly in Status->Error.

    If you want to apply security patches or upgrade modules which are depended on by TMS、please analyze the content of upgrades and do upgrade carefully.

    ・ Java upgrade TMS installs Java automatically when Application server doesn’t have Java yet, but TMS doesn’t update Java when Java has already installed. This is because of the possibility of install failure if other service is using Java. Please update Java manually. From TMS Ver.1.60.0, Java version used by TMS is updated to 1.7. If you install Java manually, please upgrade Java.

    ・ Postgre SQL database In order to execute TMS properly, TMS need Postgre SQL “version 8.2”. If you installed Postgre SQL before installing TMS, please confirm the version of Postgre SQL.

    ・ Operation Manual In order to display operation manual, please install Acrobat Reader.

    ・ Usable characters on GUI items Every GUI controls have different input restrictions. Please refer "Character.xls” file in install package.

    ・ Accessing to TMS Server from multiple browsers Please don’t access to TMS Server using two or more browsers in a computer. It might cause the problem of data inconsistency using edit ticket functionality.

    ・ Administrator account of application server and library server Please use same password of Administrator account in both application server and library server. Or create same account/password which belongs to administrative group and change the start account of TMS service to it. In addition, TMS requires OS default administrator account “Administrator”. If you delete this default account, please create this user.

    ・ File sharing protocol of Library Server SMB (CIFS) is recommended for file sharing protocol of Library Server. If you use NFS, file transfer performance may go down.

    ・ Setting for Library Server In order to access to the folders on Library Server form TMS and auditorium servers, “Network sharing setting”, “TMS service start account” and “Library Path setting” must be set appropriately. Please refer Install Manual.

    ・ DCP/KDM path and content Auditorium server can’t recognize the DCP or KDM if it is located in the path or includes the text which has the special characters like “white space” or multi-byte characters. If you want to ingest DCPs or KDMs to Auditorium server, please remove special characters and multi-byte characters from folder name or file name in the Library and use the DCP or KDM which doesn’t include the special characters.     ・ DCP copy from External Device to Library If you copy DCP from External device to Library by using TMS Copy DCP function. The external device had better be connected to Application server of TMS application is executed. Copying time of DPC is shorter.

    ・ “Unknown” cue displayed in Cue list of SPL/Pack page When importing SPL from SMS, if the cue set in SPL is not found in the Cue template list in Configuration page, the cue is displayed as “Unknown” cue in SPL/Pack page. If you choose “Unknown” from the dropdown box of the cue, the selection is ignored.

    ・ Unregistering auditoriums If you delete auditoriums using Configuration page, data described below is also deleted. If you want to exclude an auditorium from managed target, please change “Managed” of the auditorium to “No” using Configuration page. Please configure not to use "user isolation mode" on ftp server.

    ・ FTP path When you input FTP path of External device or Library, directory name is case sensitive. Please specify the upper-case or lower-case of directory name precisely.

    ・ Using IIS FTP virtual directory If you publish FTP site by using IIS (Microsoft Internet Information Server), please create sub directory which name is same as the virtual directory name in the FTP home directory.     ・ DCPs in the library can't be listed in spite of existing in the Library TMS may create many FTP sessions simultaneously to FTP server. So if FTP server is configured to use smaller sessions or ports simultaneously than TMS needs, TMS can't get the DCP information from the Library because of the connection timeout. If you use IIS (our recommendation) or FilleZilla as FTP server, this problem doesn't occur. If you use other FTP servers, this problem may occur. If you configure Library Path by using FTP, please set the maximum simultaneous connections or ports to large number. This setting must be done to all the computers which are used as FTP server. In order to change settings, please refer the manual of the FTP server.

    ・ PWI Ingest function of PS Ver.2.40 PWI ingest function added on PS Ver.2.40 can be controlled only from PJT (Projectionist Terminal). When executing PWI ingest using PJT, we recommend to set the transfer source and destination auditorium to offline. (DC-1903)

    ・ CPL skip function “Have CPL skip function” added in [Configuration]->[Auditoriums]->[Common Settings] must be set “yes” only if the auditorium server has the function of skipping unplayable CPLs.
