My sincere thanks to Dr. Rajagopal and to abhaya for providing a reference for my uncle's treatment. A special thanks to Siva for forwarding my request. Dr.Rajagopal's care and patience has been a strong support for all of us. The operation is scheduled tentatively in April,2012 that will be confirmed upon completing the prerequisite tests.

Sirisha & Divya UpdateVisit to Sweekar-Upakar regarding status of Abhaya special kids is

disappointing.. I spoke to Dr.Praveen, (Physiotherapy Head) who

is vexed with the impolite behavior of Manga their mother & has

stopped treatment since last few days.

He complained of the same to Dr.Shobha, School Principal who

agrees that there is some problem with the mother. The negative

feedback is from the staff too.

After all these discussions, spoke to Manga that she

is in a receiving end and should not demand things

and can't behave like that. Her kids will not get

proper treatment if she continued with such

behavior and in which case nothing can be done by

us other than praying to God for their well-being.

Presently he is undergoing 3rd cycle of chemo therapy and

his condition is stable and recovering well. Couple of

weeks before I approached CM camp office regarding CM

fund, they informed that CM Fund is not available to those

who are undergoing treatment under Arogyasree scheme.

Now first we need to utilize the available amount in

Arogyasree scheme for the treatment then move to cash

treatment and I will let you know well in advance in regard

to abhaya support.

My name is Soumya. I came from NALLURU,

Anantapur District. With the kind support of abhaya,

I am doing well with good health. First of all, I would

A call from Dr. Shulapni... saved Sujana:Sujana who fell unconscious and is

hospitalised due to lack of nutritious food & low BP. Her mother crumbled with this incident who is running the family on the meager earnings as maid servant is tough enough and now this is their test of time. Abhaya received a call from Dr.Shulapni, MD of Rajyalakshmi Hospital seeking the helping hands stating that the operation is emergency as her spinal got injured and she may not be able to walk if there is delay in surgery. Considering the situation, abhaya sanctioned Rs.25,000/- support for the operation. She is recovering fast.

Lapses during the month:

nThe just satisfactory results of mock tests i took last month are very depressing to

me. Though they are just mock tests I took them very seriously because I had

assured Abhaya and my family that I will get through in the coming attempt in 2012

(of course it is going to be my 1st attempt and i realise a lot of harder work has to go

into it). I have 2 months to improve my performance. Unfortunately, I met with a

minor accident and my cycle is damaged but luckily i had only few bruises and doing

well now.

nMy name was not short listed for Interview for previous banks due to less marks. It

may be short listed for interviews for second phase of the Notifications/banks.

In spite of all this my learning from life is immense :

No one can estimate the depth of the water without jumping in to the waters… Similarly,

I came to know various things only during the exam preparation for civil services. I could

have taken coaching while I was pursuing MCA, but due to lack of

guidance I could not take the right step then.

If I do get a bank PO job, I will still continue my preparation while

doing the work. Else I will go for a part time job after my prelims

exam. If I get through in the coming prelims I will start to prepare for

mains without part time job. Whatever the situation, condition or

consequence I will continue my struggle until I become IAS.

My learning experiences on the way to my goal

through Abhaya :

I attended a very educating seminar on "Soft Skills" organized by Satya Sai

Organizations on 4thMarch. It was beneficial for unemployed youth like me as their focus

was on interview skills and resume writing. I wrote VRO exam in February. Even though i

ranked better than many others, I could not succeed due to limited posts in my district.

Brother Siva called us at Abhaya Value Center to enquire about our preparation & gave

some valuable suggestions.

Mahesh and Satyanarayana are helping me learn communication

skills and English. We discussed about social issues and subjects

related thereto, being seniors interaction with them given me

confidence in my way. Completed my basic level course in R.K math,

exam will be on 1st April and classes will start from 1st June onwards.

My preparation is going well, my performance improved from before.

Coaching will be complete in about 15 classes. Alongside i have

applied for competitive exams: IBPS, SSC. - B.Satyaprasad,

I stayed with Mahesh in room for two months. When he shifted to Abhaya Value Center, I

shifted to another room. Last month my brother-in-law gifted me a laptop so i gave my

desktop computer to Abhaya Value Center for the inmates use. I will take with me to my

village after my exams in 7 months. I am sure Mahesh & friends will make use of it

I visited Nethra Dhama Hospitals Pvt. Ltd and met Dr. Sree Ganesh and discussed with

him about joining hands with us as part of their CSR initiative. He advised us to connect

and tie up with their established and active service wing, Shraddha Eye Care Trust - a 100

Bed Charitable Eye Hospital in Bangalore.

They bring different cases from rural India in their own vehicles, perform minor to major

eye surgeries at free of cost. Post surgery, they drop them back at home.

Also they conduct eye check up camps in schools and villages in

Karnataka rural areas. If the case demands, they do have 3 + days

hospitalization facility. Please think about it and put your thoughts

around. So that we can start discussing with Shraddha Eye Care Trust

what best we can do in rural areas with the concept of Together. -

Abhaya decided to set up a livelihood mechanism by establishing "Abhaya

Aathma Viswasa Tiffin Center" in their home by making use of the available space and

market around. Accordingly we moved the project. Abhaya provided some resources for

them. Accordingly the civil work is completed and the carpenter has started his work. He

is confident and by this week end the entire work will be completed. We procured all that

is needed for setting up a Tiffin center. Ever since, my associating with

Abhaya Founda t i on , my Abhaya reprogrammed yet another needy family. ABHAYA has taken up perception has changed on the case of Mrs.Chandralkala and her THREE HANDICAPPED SONS in right earnest, and many facets of life and am really tried to give them the required support. The abhaya team witnessed the most memorable event when the family opened the

Tiffin Center on 22.04.2012 which gave them BOOST. All the villagers promised to be

regular customers and also tell their friends to visit the center to help the family. The

family is advised to monitor things properly on a day to day basis and maintain income

and expenditures and deposit amounts regularly in the bank.

seeking help for venkatesh, informing abhay's intention of contributing lion's share financially for this purpose. Appeals made by TEAM ABHAYA, Venkatesh

and his elder brother Shivakumar were also filmed by the TV crew on Venkatesh, who lost both his hands and leg in

22.04.2012 in VANITHA TVs "Batuku Bandi" program, in which, an appeal was an accident due to electrical shock. His case was

again made to extend help to him,financially. It was once again emphasized the telecasted on 08.04.2012 in VANITHA TV -

Memorial Charitable Trust in the year 2001 with aim to provide love and

care to the orphan children and to make them good citizens of the society.

The trust is situated with in a distance of 7.00 Kms from Patancheru,

Medak Dist.Andhra Pradesh.

Facilities like spacious rooms, food arrangement, dairy cattle and school

facility upto 7 th std are available. Once the inmates complete their 7th std they will be sent to English Medium School at Patancheru in their Bus and

further take care of them for higher education.

The trust is having 14 acres of land in which two big buildings with an area

of 20,000 sq feet are constructed. The requirement for children like rice,

wheat, fruits like banana, mango, coconut, cashew etc are grown in the

campus. Facilities like drinking water (Manjeera), generator, solar heater

and a computer lab in the campus.

The campus can accommodate 50 children and At present the trust

propose to take about 20 kids during this year.

Can be relaxed in deserving cases.uThe boy should not have any chronic disease.uIt is open to any caste, religion and region.uThe boy should be preferably a Telugu speaking and school goinguAdmitting the boys will be the sole discretion of the management.
