General Overview for Economy, Choice, & Elite• Coverage for up to 90 days• Covers travel within the United States

and abroad • Not renewable


Who is Covered?• Insureds must be a U.S. resident

• You can enroll a total of 10 people to a plan. Insureds do not have to be family members.


Period of CoverageCoverage Start Date

• This is the same as the Coverage Effective Date.

• This date varies according to the type of benefit.


Coverage Start Date • Trip Cancellation begins 12:01

a.m. the day after the date the insured pays for the plan

• Travel Delay begins after the insured has traveled 100 miles or more from home.

• All other benefits begin when the member departs on the first travel arrangement.


Coverage End Date Trip Cancellation ends the earlier of:1. The date & time the insured departs on

their trip or2. The date & time the insured cancels

their trip.All other coverages end on the earlier of:1. The date the trip is completed;2. The scheduled return date;3. The insured’s arrival at their return

destination on a round-trip;4. Cancellation of the covered trip.


Canceling a Plan10-day free-look for all states Insureds can cancel by giving written notice within the first to occur of:

1. 10 days from the coverage start date; or

2. Their scheduled departure date.

• Pro-rated refunds are not available. • If we receive the request before the

trip start date, we can adjust the trip dates per the policy wording.

Reimburses additional transportation costs to:

• Join the trip if you must depart after your scheduled departure date or travel by alternate arrangements to reach your destination; or

• Rejoin the trip or transport you to your originally scheduled return destination

Single Supplement We will pay the increased cost in the per personoccupancy rate if your traveling companion’s or family member’s trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason.


Travel Delay Must be a delay of X or more hours en route to/from trip due to travel delay coverage reasons.

Baggage Delay • Covers checked baggage delayed or

misdirected by a common carrier for specified time (does not apply to arrival at your return destination).

• Reimburses for purchasing necessary personal items

There is a separate list of exclusions that apply to both baggage benefits.Secondary to other coverage.


Accident & Sickness • Covers expenses due to a covered accidental injury or

covered sickness which first occurs during the trip.

• Expenses incurred after the trip are not covered.

• Includes $750 for emergency dental treatment.

An illness, disease, or condition which you, your traveling companion, business partner or family member booked to travel with you has during the 60 day period immediately prior to your coverage start date.

The illnesses, disease or condition existed if you:1. Received or received a recommendation for a test, exam, or medical

treatment for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or

2. Took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.

Requirement #2 does not apply if the condition is treated/controlled solely by taking prescription drugs and remains controlled without any change in the prescription through the 60 days before coverage starts.


Accident & Sickness - – Pre-existing Conditions Are pre-existing conditions covered? If the insured meets the 3 requirements for the waiver of the pre-existing condition exclusion.

1. Pay & enroll within 20 days of initial trip payment/deposit; and2. Insure all nonrefundable trip costs & insure subsequent travel

arrangements within 20 days of payment for them; and3. The insured is not disabled from travel when premium is paid.

The waiver is not available on RoundTrip Economy.


Emergency Medical Evacuation • We will evacuate to the nearest appropriate medical facility if

medically necessary and/or return you home (repatriation).• If you are traveling alone and hospitalized more than 7 consecutive

days, we will transport one person, chosen by you to/from your bedside via economy transportation.

• If you are hospitalized more than 7 consecutive days, we will transport dependent children (under 18) home with an attendant.


Return of Remains If you die during the trip, we will pay for:

• A minimally necessary casket or air tray• Preparation• Transportation of remains to your primary place of resident in the

United States or to the place of burial.


AD&D 24-Hour AD&D Common Carrier AD&D

Pays benefits for death, loss of limbs or loss of sight due to an accident occurring during your trip.

All three plans offer varying limits of these two benefits.


Political Evacuation Transports you to the nearest safe place or your primary residence if a Travel Advisory or Warning is issued by the U.S. State Department for you to leave your destination country due to 1. civil, military or political unrest; or2. you are expelled or declared persona non-grata.

1. Not available in excluded countries or if a Travel Advisory or Warning is issued before your arrival.

Optional Flight AD&DPays additional AD&D benefits for an accident that occurs while you are a passenger on an aircraft. (available in all states)

Optional Rental Car Damage• Pays the lesser of repairs & rental

charges while the car is being repaired; actual cash value of the car, or the amount in the schedule.

• Covers damage to the car due to collision, theft, vandalism, windstorm, fire, hail, flood, theft, or a cause not in the insured’s control

• Maximum available is $35,000
