So I would like to introduce the tool’s basic concept ,functions, and how it works

D.D.T is a short for Doosan Diagnostic Tool. From now, I will call this DDT.The communication way has been changed from K-line to Can line. So you need to purchase the new communication module.The Fault code system has also changed. To detect fault code, E-Doctor has bit-value depending on type. From D.D.T these fault coded are already decided for each bitAlso the freeze frame function is added and is being verifiedIn Data Monitoring Function , In e-Doctor , we can see the 58 data about engine But In D.D.T Program we can see the 194 data about engine and aftertreatment. The Service data is seen to check the engine is increased four timesMaybe you think it is many data, first all data that R&D suggest is reflected For example, In e-Doctor the value of the coolant temperature can be seen degree But in D.D.T the value of the coolant temperature can be seen degree as well as output voltageIn the future, if the service data is not necessary to check the engine, that service data will be deletedAnd also now there are two version according to the category of the data, LEVEL 1 version is doosan service version Level 2 version is OEM version, And also in D.D.T Data monitoring function has the recording service data same the e-Doctor And also can be recorded the many form, for example excel, graph, jsd In e-Doctor snap shot function the data can be recorded in 499sec, but in DDT the data can be recorded with out restriction .And also stored data in DDT can change the graph.In engine test you are dissatified with Run-Up Test,Compression Test, Cut-off test Main dissatisfaction is credibility and range to be normal , on this analing the bosch documentThe value is define again the system about the engine test is remodelled, but the Engine test is not perfect Now in excavator system the engine test is being verified, maybe until June the engine system completed to make credibility and spec.

E-Doctor receives data from sensors such as coolant and oil sensors. From D.D.T, It is changed for actuator testMostly It need to be check with your eyes, and I will explain signal test of shut off cylinder soon.EoL also upgraded to control values for Prv valve , PRV Valve, DPF,Ash cleaning . All these values should be changed to ‘0’ after replacingReprogramming and Ecu information is same as E-Doctor

is okay) - And double click on directory

To install the E-doctor you had to prepare the installation file and program files separately .With the D.D.T, you can install the program with 1 file, making installation easier

And also, this program supports various version of MS Operation systems

Set up USB driver- Connect the USB cable on your laptop, the USB cable must be connected with gateway only as below condition (Do not connect main harness to the gateway)
- The UVIM driver can be installed all of the Windows version( Windows 32,64Bit)

If you connect assembled UVIM to computer, it will search new hardware.Please select “install software automatically”:You don’t have to find install file from other folder.
3. User Registration and Log In
1. User Registration
If you enter the ‘system key No’ which is obtained from the program manager, you can see the above window.
Enter your ID and ‘password’ which is obtained from the program manger. Click OK. You can now use D.D.T.
Every time you run the D.D.T, the system will prompt you with the window to key-in your ‘user ID’ and ‘password’.

If you finish installing, you will see the program authentication window.Please input the system key which is given by the program manager.

Enter your ‘user ID’ and ‘password’ whenever you run the program.
※ If your password is lost, contact the program manager and get a new passwordand user ID. You have to reinstall the program.

(Communication is activated when the line at the bottom of the screen displays :TIER-4 : connecting…’)
“Stop” icon- Turns communication off.※Wait 4 seconds before resuming the communication.

Note: All message will remain in the ECU memory until deleted by an D.D.T user. ‘Present’ error messages can not be deleted. ‘Historic’ error messages can be deleted.

Erase DTC- Lets the user erase all error data in ECU providing that the status is ‘Historic’.
Save as Excel- Lets the user save the list of errors as an Excel file.
Fault code - Lets you know the fault codes of the engine.
Description- Provides the detail information about each fault code.
Activity- ‘Present’ means that the fault is currently present.- ‘History' means the problems is not currently present.
Freeze frame- Click on the freeze frame to open an environmental condition of the fault

The Freeze frame function is added to D.D.T. It remembers important values which are concerned with fault codes.For example, if coolant temperature sensor has an error, D.D.T remembers surroundings such as enigne rpm and temperature.

Data Monitoring enables you to check the sensors and service data values of theengine, and check the status of the electric components such as sensor or switches.

If you click ‘Data monitoring” you will see the variables which effects engine performances or conditons.Compare to previous one network speed of D.D.T is upgraded.But the each data through CAN Line is one to one communication and, If you add to many categories , reading speed will be slow.I suggest the data is chosen to check the engine Other function is similar with the e-Doctor function

View Selection -Tick the square cell in the column ‘SEL’ in front of the selected parameter- Only the selected parameters (service data) will be shown on the screen
Open Selection -Opens the list of service data you saved in lap top in a former session
Save Selection- You can save the specified service data which you selected from the full service data list- The filename has a *.jsf extension.- To select the service data, proceed in the same way as in “View selection”
Graph- Shows the values for each selected service data as a graph. - You can view up to 10 service data at a time.
Save as excel- The service data names, parameter names, current values and units which are shown are saved as
Excel format. The curves are not saved in the current software version
Data Group - Select the service data you want to see using the fall-down menu.

Graph - Color : Indicates the line color on the graph- Service Data : Indicates the service data names/parameter names shown on the graph- Variable : Indicates the parameter’s current value, shown as Y-coordinate- Max : Indicates the max. value of the parameter. It is 100% of the graph- Min : Indicates the min. value of the parameter. It is 0% of the graph- Time : X-coordinate- Scroll bar : It is active when going over the next frame- Stop button : Temporarily stops the measurement on the graph- Exit : Closes the graph window

Manual Start- Data can be saved up until unlimited time- Click the Manual Start icon. The icon will be changed to the ‘Manual Stop’ icon so that you can
control the saving time.
Manual Stop - Click the Manual Stop icon. The button will be revert to the ‘Manual Start’ icon- You can store the data up until unlimited time- The filename has a *.jsd extension.
Auto Start - Click the Auto Start icon. The system will wait until the engine generates a fault and will then start to
save the fault data.- D.D.T will save automatically the fault data for unlimited time before and after fault.
Open - Load and run a stored snapshot file.
Time Frame Scroll - Change the time frame scroll to check the current value of each time.

Data Group - Select the service data you want to see using the fall-down menu.- All data, Start data, injector data, voltage data, fuel pressure data….
View selection - See ‘Service Data’ section. This function behave in the same way

Deviation in the power capability of individual cylinders are identified by the run-up test

1) Purpose The run-up test is used to determine the efficiency of individual cylinders/injectors
2) Test LogicThe test is divided into 2 phasesIn phase 1, the engine is accelerated from idle, with one cylinder/injector shut off.
The time that the system requires to reach a particular number of engine revolutions is re-corded. In phase 2, all cylinders/injectors are shut off and the time required by the system during the reduction
phase is measured.This is repeated until all injectors have been shut down once. A comparison of the measured times provides
information about the efficiency of the in-dividual cylinders/injectors .

Run up test screen will be changed as follows.The purpose of this function(Run-Up test) is to determine the efficiency of individual cylinder and injectors.It is possible to check combustion condition.Y axis is RPM, X axis is the time we check increasing velocity and decreasing velocity.Compared with other cylinder, we will check the cylinder is normal.

1) Purpose The diagnostic tester can be used to shut off injections in specified cylinders
2) Test LogicThis can be down with or without fuel quantity compensation. If
fuel quantity compensation is active, the quantity of the injection that is switched off will beadded to the quantity of the main injection

This “Shut off test” is similar to the “cut off test”It is also possible to select ‘fuel quantity compensation’ for switched off injection.
With a dosing engine test, the dosing valve is removed a quantity specified by the tester can be dosed into a measuring vessel at a dosingvalve duty cycle specified by the tester(dq). The dosed quantity can then be compared with the quantity specification. The dosing valve can beevaluated by the variable actuation
The status, tester result or reason for aborting will then be made available by RequestRoutineResults. During the test the operating conditions will be checked continuously and if necessary the test will be aborted. StopRoutine is used to abort the test specifically

-This test can know the normal operation of the VGT. You choose the actuator test of boost pressure actuator. Click the Start button . You choose the input value in the value box. You have to see the position of the VGT shaft with naked eye. Return to ECU

Until now, it was hard to figure out the condition of the injector.However, It is now possible to detect the condition of the injector through the “signal test of shut off cylinder”Fuel compensation quantity will be changed to keep engine rpm to a certain level. if fuel compensation quantity changes frequently,It means some of the injectors have problems

Select file - Select ECU MAP file on your laptop computer for reprogramming or rework- The files are obtained from the Doosan company if required
File transferring. - Install Map file on ECU- You can see the program installing progress rate
• Install completely (100%): when prompted “Communication end”
• MAKE SURE THAT THE LAPTOP BATTERY IS FULLShould the proper transfer of file fail, the ECU will be damaged and should be replaced otherwise the engine cannot be run anymore.
• Click “Connect ECU” icon, and wait a few minutes, D.D.T will restart• After restarting the D.D.T, the engine serial No and machine serial, model must be entered
in the ECU through EOL• It is not possible to re program the ECU of DL06 engine with DL08 engine map file and so on.
