At the same time IT solutions are moving from technology based decisions to business value based decisions. Marketing is now a fundamental driver of IT purchasing, and, that trend shows no signs of stopping, or even slowing down, any time soon. According to Forbes, five years from now CMOs will spend more on IT than CIOs.
