1 Introduction

1.1 Purpose

The Purpose of the installation manual is to assist the iProcess 10.6 user in installation andoperational activities of iProcess 10.6 on Oracle10g v10.2.0.3.

1.2 Scope

This document covers the installation of iProcess 10.6 on Oracle10g v10.2.0.3 only.

1.3 Intended AudienceThis installation document is intended for TIBCO iProcess Architect, Senior Developers andDevelopers who are planning to use iProcess 10.6 with Oracle10g version 10.2.0.3 for development, POC or Demo purpose. This document is not meant to be used for iProcessProduction Environment. Please refer to iProcess document wherever needed while goingthrough the below steps.

2 Installation

2.1 Product Description

The TIBCO iProcess Engine is the core of iProcess and is responsible for the execution of business processes. In response to various input, for example. Case start, completion of steps,events being triggered, deadlines expiring and data being modified, coupled with knowledge of

the business process; it makes the next activity or step in the process available for execution.This might be the dispatching of a work item to a user queue or the invocation of an applicationor task via an EAI step.

TIBCO iProcess Engine uses various RDBMS to store their data. However for this installationguide we will be using Oracle10g version 10.2.0.3.

2.2 Installation of software

2.2.1 STAGE I: Install Oracle10g with Patch Set 2 and Initial Database.

First we would be installation Oracle10g 10.2.0.1 in STAGE I, on which we would apply thePatch Set 3 (10.2.0.3), which also include Patch Set 2 (10.2.0.2), from the Patch set 3Directory.

So to install Oracle10g 10.2.0.1 here is the steps in STAGE I.

Note: I recommend to create the database after installing the base version and the patchset 2.

Step 1: On the Installation Method window, Choose Advance Installation, Click Next.

Step 2: On the Installation Type window, Choose Custom, Click Next.

Step 3: On the Specify Home Details window, Change the Name if requires otherwise leaveit as it is, and also specify the Path of folder in which you want your Oracle DB andinstallation files to reside , Click Next.

Step 4: On the Available Product Components window, tick all the components required andmost importantly select the Oracle Services For Microsoft Transaction Server 10.2.0.1.0 , ashighlighted in the below screen, otherwise you iProcess 10.6 installation will fail. To be in asafer side select all the components if your system can support , Click Next.

Step 5: On the Product-Specific Prerequisite Checks window, if the status column shows as Succeeded, then, click Next.

Step 6: On the Create Database window, click Next.

Step 6: On the Summary window, click Next.

Now the step will start the installation, wait till it finishes till 100%, once

D:\Programs\oracle\product\10203\db1\bin\nmesrvc.exe

Click Finish

Click OK

End of Oracle10g 10.2.0.1, Reboot the system and proceed to install the Patch Set 2.

Install Oracle10g Parch Set 2

Stop the following services.

1. OracleServiceORCL2. OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener3. OracleOraDb10g_home1iSQL*Plus4. OracleMTSRecoveryService5. OracleOraDb10g_home1ClrAgent

Tip: Stop all services that start with Oracle.

Step 1: Run the setup.exe from the Patch Set 3\Disk1\ folder.

Step 2: On the Welcome Window click Next

Step 3: On the Specify Home Details Window change the Name to your base oracle home,click on the Name drop down button and change it.

The screen should look like this

Then click Next

Step 4: On the Summary Window, click Install.

Step 5: Setup will start applying the patch set. Please wait till it finishes.

Step 6: On End of installation window, click Exit .

Step 7: Click Yes and reboot your system and make sure all the services which you stopped manually are started automatically .

2.2.2 STAGE II : Install iProcess 10.6

Here are the steps to install iProcess 10.6 setup on Oracle10g. Please do remember the Oracle user credential as we will need it during the installtion.

Run Setup.exe, and follow the below screen step by step to install the software.

Run command from the %iProcessHome%\util> swadm show_processesYour screen should look something like this, with all process in RUNNING status.

Now go ahead and install your Workspace Client and test the connection using the login you usedto install the iProcess engine.

Once done you can also add the OS user to the iProcess user list using TIBCO iProcessAdministrator.

Now you are ready to create/define procedure and start case using different users.

2.3 System Configuration

2.3.1 Hardware Requirement

Processor Minimum: single x86-based, 800Mhz.Recommended: x86-based, Dual or Quad 2.5 GHzMemory: Minimum 512 MB.

Preferred 1 GB.Recommended 2 GB

Note: System performance will degrade immensely if you have 512 MB RAM.

2.3.2 Software Requirement
