Teaching & Learning Strategie s Step 1/Induction/Pre-teach( 10 minutes ) 1. ‘Teacher says’ (Game): Review basic instructions taught previously. 2. Jigsaw Puzzle (In a group). 3. Find words related to each picture in the complete puzzles. 4. Teacher writes down all the words on the board. 5. Teacher reads aloud each word and asks the pupils to repeat after her. Step 2/Teaching Points ( 20 minutes ) 1. Teacher writes a simple text on the board and read it aloud. 2. Teacher asks the pupils to read after her and drills another 4-6 pupils to come in front and read again the text. 3. Skimming and Scanning activities. 4. Teacher writes 5 questions below the text and underlines several words in each question. 5. Teacher asks the pupils to find the meaning of each underlined word. 6. Teacher drills several pupils to state the meaning of each underlined word. 7. Teacher guides the pupils to locate the correct answer in the text for each question given. Step 3/Production ( 20 minutes ) 1. Teacher distributes a worksheet to the pupils. 2. Teacher gives a clear instruction to complete the worksheet given.
